If it's not seeing your drive, unplug the drive and restart the computer. Worked perfectly after I did that.

XP SP3.

Seems to be working great for me after installing the file that fixed the wiiscrubber.dll issue
Channels can be created so it seems, haven't tested it on wii yet though.

"USB Drive not detected!"

Using WD My Book 320gb...

i use the same my book essentials and if you go to Western Digitals official website then click on downloads...next click your drive on the bottom right (with the green circle led light) then you will see a WD FAT32 USB Format tool...DOWNLOAD IT AND RUN IT...then after you have formated to FAT32 the wii can read it...next format in WBFS USING USB LOADER 1.1 NOT A WINDOWS GUI TOOL......now your drive can be read : P BTW partitioning causes random code dumps after playing a game so long (i tried it both ways with this drive i used nortons partition magic pro to split the drive partition into 2 drives then formated the first drive to fat32 and the second to WBFS...while it DID WORK (the app pics it up and lets me install games) my compatibility was MOST DEF BETTER aft5er REformating using the WD tool BACK to a single fat32 drive partition then formattting THE WHOLE HDD to WBFS....The result is even IOS249 patched and PAL games are working a treat on my 3.2u

only 3 games shit out...deadly creatures.....red steel...metroid prime 3....and thats on the loader not our hdd
tongue.gif
as everyone is finding these REQUIRE a disc in the drive
wink.gif

I have found with our external (I use the same 320 wd my book for this usb loader) Maximillions Wbfs Gui V2 works perfectly for extracting...injecting...drive space info....ect (remember when extracting an ISO to put the ID of the game in the box and extracting will work fine on that drive as well (the only reason you or I have to use this is the channel making feature (witch at the moment does not work ironicly due to POOR CODING according to a google search the missing module could have to do with OCX (active x) issues as well only debugging will help this app

So just wait on using this and grab the one that I PROMISE YOU works perfectly for a My Book Essentials WD 320 Gig external (with the green circle right?

) try maximillions gui v2 its the best so far at least for our drives

i'll say there is definatley a need for a new tool to do channels simply because this one is so hit and miss..

if you have two paritions = IT DOESNT WORK

if you have vista = it probably isnt gonna work.

so with plenty of people having 2 partitions, being on vista....there is a obvious need for this tool to be either updated or replaced..

i dont even run vista and i dont want channels, but IT doesnt work 100%

How to get both Drive Letters to show up in windows.

Take drive. Make two partitions on drive.
Hook up to wii. Format partition to WBFS. INSTALL ONE GAME.
Now both drive letters will show up in windows, allowing all the wbfs tools to work.

You have to

Thanks ! ... but this is not my problem^^
My drive works perfectly with my Wii even it was NTFS the first time i plugged in the my wii, it has been successfully formatted WBFS. The message "USB Drive not detected!" appears on my PC screen when i try to use WBFSMAN ! and all the other wbfs tools i found works well with...

But you are right on a point : it is the one with the green circle^^

yeah gr8 to hear it worked in ntfs thats sweet (i formated to fat32 as a precaution but it looks like thats a un needed step thanks for the info bro)

all we really need is a Channel Maker Gui.exe that works like wadder 1.2 does
wink.gif
this would be sufficient in combination with Maximillions gui v2.exe to make any adjustments i need to have done

FANTASTIC tool. Howard. Thanks so much! Don't have to bug my friend to make channels for me anymore.

XP SP3 here, working great after reboot + installing the .dll fix in the OP.

I can't seem to use the tool to create proper channels just from an ISO, but creating channels during the Add process seems to work OK.

Just providing some feedback on my experience with this app because more info on these sorts of things is always better than less, no?

Windows 7 Ultimate beta (Build 7000)
64-bit

I first had to manually register "msflxgrd.ocx" - navigate to "C:\Windows\System32", right click on "cmd.exe" and select"Run as administrator." At the command prompt, "regsvr32 msflxgrd.ocx" should do it.

But when running "WBFS Manager.exe" I get the "Run-time error '9': Subscript out of range" error.

I can also confirm that Maximillions windows front-end for "wbfs_win.exe" works perfectly on adding/extracting/listing/etc on my system with a 120 GB Wester Digital drive.

Thanks for your efforts on this; I'm sure that it's only going to get better!

To follow up this post of mine:

I booted up the old laptop with Windows XP SP3 32-bit installed to try the tool. I get the "Drive not found" error message. I installed the Visual C++ redistributable and even rebooted after plugging in the drive - still a no go. My hard drive is an old external 120 GB Western Digital that works fine under Windows 7 beta 64-bit and Windows XP SP3 32-bit with Maximillions "WBFS GUI TOOL V2."

I think the problem lies with your application using the cygwin version. Would you be open to supporting the same "wbfs_win.exe" that Maximillions' tool uses?

Thanks.
