This was a piece of shit. It's obvious to anyone who's ever dealt with a people as to what happened.

Possibility A:
Bob actually thought this was 'that' great, as often happens when losers make their first game, he thought "It took so long to get all these pixels in the right place, to make the characters the way I like them, and to make everything make sense in my mind.

Unknowingly he convinced himself that it was so great and cognitively he believed it because his subconscious was fooled into thinking that if he thought it was great, everyone would, and after all, he made it, and it's too hard to make any more, so why bother?!

Possibility B:
He never really made the game, he might have made a design document, but even that is skeptical, he's supposedly been working for 5 years on a game for a system and he hasn't taken any of it's best factors into place? He touted it real strong because he figured gamers will do good with anything after all this shovelware and bitching right? Never showed a real demo of the game before now, no one heard of it before a few months ago, but he's been working on it for FIVE years? Get real! He was attention whoring, and when it was absolutely obvious that Nintendo would NEVER give him Nitro SDK (As if it takes a fucking genius to realize that they're not going to give some random kid an exception to a rule, that makes all the other companies that work with Nintendo look like failures, and Nintendo won't risk relations to make one little kid feel happy). When his back was against the wall and everyone was saying "release anyway" he basically threw together the piece of crap he put together in maybe a month or two, and figured "Well, I gotta work somtehing out, at least there are a lot of people who still like it" and while he was at it "Make it as hard as possible so people just keep playing it over and over again until they beat it", hell while you're at it, don't make a save or pause feature so that they can't come back to it later.

I'm betting that if it wasn't built in, he wouldn't even shut off the screen when the DS closes, he's a friggin' amateur trying to ride the coat tails of great indie game designers like Pixel that have spent the time and have made masterpieces.

A kid exploring a house he just moved into and using boxes to block everything? That's about as mundane as "I just woke up, where am I?" "Oh, I have amnesia, must find single pathway that leads out of here!"

It's funny because you can't handle that some people find this game interesting, even though bob made you cry. They just don't care. :[

(Seriously dude, waaaaay too much effort put into hating something you've only the most peripheral awareness of.)

If you read any of my previous posts or knew of my stand on this matter, you would have known what my stance on this game was, even during the first thread. The fact of the matter is, I care not what kind of neurological disorder this kid has, then again he could just be a pathological liar, hell if I know.

The fact of the matter is, he's been working on it for 5 years, you don't release JUST a demo. On top of that, not a sloppily done one, which is just horrible.

Bob never made me cry because I never worried about his game, JNKPlat kicked this games ass. Hell, you know what? Ragnarok Online DS (the Homebrew not the Official) kicked this games ass, and it was done with squares for characters!

EDIT: Why would I give an idiot a chance? He blew everyone the fuck off, all you guys did was cheer him on like retards "Yeah, go Nintendo give bob a chance!", then he basically spits in your face with a shitty DEMO and you still cheer him on?

If it wasn't for the fact that I was sure that some of you are just THAT goddamn stupid, I'd suspect he's just been working on keeping accounts on here up to date and separate for the past 5 years instead of working on a game.

Why the hell can't you people deal with the fact that you've been duped? Five years ago did you hear of a "Bob", how about two years ago? No. A few months ago (Around 7~8 months) you magically hear about a guy who's been working on a DS game for five years, and how it'll be the best game ever, and have like 101 levels of awesome ass fucking gameplay, and all this bullshit, and you get a demo that's so horrible that it's only actually half ass decent features are things a normal game would never resort to, namely shitty underhand references at the console your game is for and the company that makes it, as well as crappy graphics, ignorance of general programming rules, general gaming goals (DONT WASTE THE EXTRA SCREEN ON A GODDAN MAP UNLESS IT DOES SOMETHING, NUMBNUT), and he knows NOTHING of immersion which is key in almost every game, and is the reason why games work out so good these days, like Metal Gear Solid so good. If you saw a big ass UI and knew it wasn't real and weren't put 'into' the game, would you like it? No. Most of what makes it so good is immersion, it brings the whole thing to life.

I think it's pretty much common knowledge that he's done way more than post a demo. Your raaaaaaage, at the very least, is proof of that.

Any sloppiness (personally I thought it was pretty good, and I'm not the only one) can be attributed to several factors, not limited to divorcing a part of the game from the rest of the rom, and altering the demo to account for several architectures so that different devices can run it with little issue (the Nitro SDK would solve that, but Bob refuses to pirate it). The first version that got "leaked" wasn't intended to be distributed until it could be tested on various devices that Bob doesn't personally have.

lol yeah we're the one's that are stupid. Not the biased idiot who "doesn't care" but posts paragraph after paragraph explaining why he doesn't care. Maybe you should wait for the full game to be released before flaming.

Really, he's done so much more? He's had 5 years, I'd expect something at least half as good as what Pixel created in 5 years. But then again, I shouldn't compare an idiot with someone who actually just makes games instead of hyping them up.

What's the last game indie game you heard of that was REALLY hyped up during the making of it and then finished? I'll just wait for your answer.

Well, there are several problems with what you're saying. First of all there are tons of Homebrew that work fine across all if not at least almost every Slot-1 device without using Nitro SDK. There's no excuse to prep a demo this late if he's been dealing with Nintendo trying to get the Nitro SDK for HOW long now?

His refusal to pirate it is just further proof that it's going to turn out shitty, he tries to act heraldic, when in fact it's that he just can't handle it. Everyone knew that Nintendo wouldn't give him Nitro SDK, he doesn't deserve it, what's he done with these '5 years'? A shitty little demo, oh let's see MAYBE he ripped apart from his complete game that's nowhere to be seen, but if so why release only a demo, and NOW? So he's been working for 5 years with just little pictures and short video clips released, not any live demo at all? I find that very hard to believe. Furthermore the demo was leaked and even if it didn't work on every card (and it should), that's his fault for not compiling it right before he handed it off to ANYONE.

If you read, your response wouldn't be so hypocritical in it's nature. The fact of the matter is, I've been posting about how idiotic you morons are to wait for a game that's simply over-hyped and shows no promise. When he delivers you absolute shit and pretty much spits in your face you still worship him as if he's some sort of deity. Oh, and so you know, I'll probably be back to 'flame' all of you 'tards when the full game gets released, if it ever does, because I'll put money up to say that it'll be an absolute failure, just like 'Bob'.

Oh, and just so you know... since Bob's Official release date of the Demo was April Fools Day, I'm pretty sure this whole thing was a joke.

Okay, JUST to be fair here, the leaked demo was supposed to be the internal testing.
You know, for the purpose of making sure it would work on flash carts that Bob doesn't have access to.

I will say this. I feel the demo isn't very good. Graphics and sound are nice, but the gameplay not so much. If the game ever sees some kind of a proper release beyond a demo he could make me think other wise, but given how he talks about it and how others act towards it, it was very much underwhelming to me. It really didn't live up to the hype.

What's keeping him from releasing the full game?

The demo is pretty awesome. Great graphics and sound, but it has quite a few bugs. (although most are grapics related)
So the game isn't even ready for release?
The 100 days are over, all we get is some demo?
Not worth all the attention it's getting. (at least not yet)

Granted I won't be as optimistic as saying I'd like to see a full version of Bob's game (since such a thing might not exist). However, I have to say that in the right hands, Bob's demo could evolve into a great game, as it's one great foundation for an unknown "game".

It could be a simpler and more interactive version of The Urbz, doing things the way simple life demands it, light jokes, puzzles, stuff like that. Granted the demo itself shows no real promise, but like I said, it's a foundation for one potential game, if one can grab its concept and apply it

I'm sorry, Mr.
I didn't think your game is better in any way than other homebrew.
And that's MY opinion.
Mine.

That's true, it was leaked. He chose very poor Alpha testers which is understandable, but if he knew how to code worth a lick it would work without a problem, especially with all the programs we have to make sure it works on all carts.

Off the wall? The faith in this fool is off the wall.

No doubt there are some games stupid enough to do this. N+ was nowhere near as good as N, it was also made to be on PC at first but they got a lucky break and got to console.

It's possible that this is indeed just a test of the engine if anything, but my doubt is very high.

He "protested" for 100 days, to advertise a complete game (or work on an unfinished game).
In either case, he's attention whoring.
Another thing that bothers me there is that you would pretty much need to have finished game in order to present it to Nintendo for them to decline.

The problem here to start off is that if he ever did it he'd know that he would have to sign forms for Nintendo to even look at it, because he could claim to sue for usage rights if they used ANY part of that game in the future or something that seemed like it. He would also most likely have to present it in person for security reasons, and actually talking directly to Nintendo operatives as high as Reggie is unrealistic. He might ave thought he was, but even then people that high up just have assistants act like them, they can't tell over the internet.

SPOILER ALERT:
The game will be released and it probably won't suck.

Seriously, Pyro, I think that people are more hyped at the idea of the game than the game itself. Bob has done a great job advertising his game throughout his "protest", and I for one found it entertaining. Even if the game sucks, I enjoyed the ride. Now stop being such a little bitch and let people look forward to something. It's not up to you to choose what games people should look forward to, and I don't see why it concerns you.
