O, I really like Doggything-like games, especially when it's in Japanese and I can't understand anything. I just can't get enough of those weird characters with big faces and wobbly eyes. ESPECIALLY when their mission is taking care of miniscule cuty doggies....WHAAAHAHAHAHA!!!

I don't know. Haven't played it yet. My guess is, it's like the previous pet sim games. I'll post something about it after I've had a go at it.

Btw, are you guys on dial-up or something? These ROMs are less than 5MB in size and with broadband, it's nothing so it should be easy to give it a go

And just in case you're wondering, I'm still on dial-up

I'm SO downloading this, I love these Japanese virtual pet thingies, especially the ones for GBA they have very good graphics.

Still nothing beats the Creatures series and the Petz series for PC too bad they completely ruined Petz with Petz 5 (I know they aren't Japanese)

Oh yeah, I remember creatures. Having DNA and teaching them to talk etc. I thought Oddballz was probably the best back then though

- Edit -

Well, I just played the game. Here's the lowdown for those of you who's still interested in what this game's about.

It's your (the main character's) birthday and your friends ask you what present you want. You ask for a puppy so you go to the pet shop with your friends and pick a puppy.

You can expect the usual set of things you can do with the puppy in the game. Teach it tricks, feed it, clean up after it and take it for walks etc. When you choose to take it for walks, you get to walk around town with it and visit several areas such as the park and your school.

At the start, you get an allowance of 3000 Yen from your mother. You can then spend this money buying items for your puppy at the local pet shop such as higher quality food, toys or a new dog house. I hardly spent time on this but when you want to earn more money, you can do chores for your mother at the expense of spending time with your puppy. The days are numbered and one of your friends hint that you can only spend 10 years of game time with your puppy.

Voila!

I can recommend it to everyone who enjoys cute pet-games. Also, I'm working on a FAQ to put up at GameFAQs.com - for all you people who doesn't know the language nor have a friend who does (like I do)
