I've been here for about 2 years and I've only encountered some posts asking for roms or linking to roms and most of them get reported/deleted in minutes
the mods are always there to annihilate them
im always in for some noob slaying but this is too much (lets make it 50 posts for the pop up)
think about the poor frogpony who has less than 100 posts and he is a gud noob

At nfohump(warez free :3) They do this all the time, with every big release. They have a stickied thread, that says something like "Crysis ISO RAPIDSHARE + Torrent links HERE!" and it leads to a post about how roms/isos+warez aren't allowed. I'm sure if we could have a surefire way of getting noobs to see it, it would actually work. Like make a sidebar link in red, that says Rom downloads or something like that, and have it lead to a thread like this one. Pinning this thread will not help anyone. I have seen countless amount of people that ask a question that stickies answered. And I also don't think that making threads with titles like "Get ROMs here" will help. So far I think P1ng's idea is the best.

Yeah, p1ng's idea would be noticable, and annoying, but at least they wouldn't post it. Although 100 is a high post count. 50 would work fine, especially if the person was just rom hunting.Sonicslasher said:

I have been reading a month and will finish my wii here soon. I have not asked for help yet (but I may). We used to play hack the tv but it takes too much time these days....
we always try to keep our community the safest and most helpful pot to please our members , Staff and Coders and Programmers and most members are knowledgeable of the rules , while these little traps were made for the new comers that think we have the same exceptions like other forums
