well the first impression its always the best so its better not make the noobs judge the book by its cover rather than the content.Toni Plutonij said:Actually, surprisingly good idea..We'll see what could be done about it!p1ngpong said:edit: @ sinki, you guys should introduce something like when a new member tries to post something, for the duration of their first 100 posts they get a pop-up saying "If you are requesting ROMs or Wares, or breaking the other forum rules with this post you may be suspended or banned!"
At nfohump(warez free :3) They do this all the time, with every big release. They have a stickied thread, that says something like "Crysis ISO RAPIDSHARE + Torrent links HERE!" and it leads to a post about how roms/isos+warez aren't allowed. I'm sure if we could have a surefire way of getting noobs to see it, it would actually work. Like make a sidebar link in red, that says Rom downloads or something like that, and have it lead to a thread like this one. It beats having to tell them after they've already made a thread.Toni Plutonij said:Just to point out, I approve this thread, I like it and I like the idea of it..
It hasn't been done before, and only "bad" thing that could happen from it, is some new members coming here, reading it, feeling angry, and flaming..
My opinion is that this thread should stay open, and running (for now, not pinned, but eventually, maybe!)
Yeah, p1ng's idea would be noticable, and annoying, but at least they wouldn't post it. Although 100 is a high post count. 50 would work fine, especially if the person was just rom hunting.Sonicslasher said:Pinning this thread will not help anyone. I have seen countless amount of people that ask a question that stickies answered. And I also don't think that making threads with titles like "Get ROMs here" will help. So far I think P1ng's idea is the best.
actually I disagree with annoying each new members , but with this thread we can hunt the big majority of them specifically the ones looking for such materials here and we deliver the rules to them simple and plainGexX2 said:Yeah, p1ng's idea would be noticable, and annoying, but at least they wouldn't post it. yeah you can ask for homebrew games and wad files of homebrew programs eg a copy of snes9x in .wad format, but not a snes virtual console wad eg super mario world.
basically no ninty code eg system menu wads and ios files and no commercial software
it is still considered to be copyright material , for an example if you made a pacman game for Wii please go ahead and share it with the whole wide world , but make a Wiiware channel with Nintendo code inside it though you might have modify some of it , it is still a Nintendo copyright material so you can not post a link for it here , however you can talk about it and discuss it but no link for it is allowed or tell someone how to obtain it , now don't forget that PM is translated into Private Massage and that's your problem at that pointBeatchu said:tim2g said:for free pirated games click here
