This should be awesome. I don't really enjoy puzzle games that much, but something like this transcends the genre. Can't wait to play.

the demo was released on the PC a few weeks ago.

very different approach to the overworld, and may be a bit too daunting/complex for the casual players that managed to get through PQ1.

Ah sweet, was curious about it's gameplay.

at its core, it's still a match-3 system like PQ1.
instead of 4-directional gem-swapping in PQ1, you have 6-directional gem-swapping (up, down, upleft, upright, downleft, downright).
matching 3 or more mines in a row will deal damage. the mines have a number on them, and will deal damage accordingly.
the direction you "swap" will determine which way the gems "fall". in PQ1, the gems always fell downwards. in PQ2, if you "swap" upwards (i.e. select a gem, and them choose to swap w/ the gem above it), once your "match" has been cleared, gems will slide upwards to fill in the hole. introduces an additional layer of planning now.

overworld map is pretty huge, made of a slew of solar systems. each solar system has space stations, planets and asteroids, where you can dock/visit (like the towns in PQ1).

instead of learning spells and adopting mounts, you can purchase ship components.

oh, matching blue gems will give you shields that will absorb damage.

Hope it was just a one time thing, but i got a lockup while "Accessing Data..." when attempting to start the "hack the leapgate" mission.

I didn't enjoy the first one much. The way the AI abused its "clairvoyance" to make long, unpredictable chains and potentially obliterate you in a few turns completely broke the game, IMO. I hope this one's better, because the concept is really cool indeed.
