Source for wad manager is available. Just add IOS_ReloadIOS(254) in where it initializes the video and controller stuff to make it use IOS254 (best place to stick this is probably right after it tries to loads IOS249), and then recompile.
Recompile it's the problem!Supercool330 said:Source for wad manager is available. Just add IOS_ReloadIOS(254) in where it initializes the video and controller stuff to make it use IOS254 (best place to stick this is probably right after it tries to loads IOS249), and then recompile.

Well, since you now are on 3.2U, you should already have all IOS:es with the signing bug in place. If you're uncertain, reinstall 3.2U once more with cIOS Downgrader; I've had better luck with that one than with Any Region Changer. (Then, my tip would be installing Starfall.)ashesburn said:Am i right to say that it is necessary to run IOS Downgrader ONLY if I am downgrading from 3.4/3.3 to 3.2?
You have to run cIOS Downgrader to reinstall an earlier version of system menu. IOS Downgrader will only reinstall some new IOS:es belonging to 3.4/3.3v2 with the signing bug patched into them.
QUOTE(ashesburn @ Jan 8 2009, 11:59 AM) I switched from 3.2J to 3.2U with Any Region Changer and wanted to make sure all my IOSes were still intact. That's why I tried running the IOS Downgrader, which apparantly did not work.

I did not upgrade pass 3.2. All I did was to switch from 3.2J to 3.2U. So like you said probably all my IOSes are still free from the signing bug fix.
Is that the reason why the IOS Downgrader didn't seem to work. Or is it still meant to work even though I'm on 3.2?

The cIOS Downgrader just enables the trucha bug again really.
The IOS downgrader can also be used as an upgrader - hence the bad name.
Wait. Isn't it the other way round?
Should be this:
cIOS Downgader - used to upgrade/downgrade to different firmware versions.
IOS Downgrader - used to enable back the trucha bug.
But I do agree. They could use better names. Nonetheless, excellent programs!
QUOTE(djtaz @ Jan 8 2009, 02:05 PM) Its pretty much a solid rule that you always run
1. cIOS downgrader
2. IOS downgrader
THEY ARE NOT THE SAME and you need both to be safe. running the cIOD downgrader if you have everything already installed wont do any harm. Run both and it will work.
