Source for wad manager is available. Just add IOS_ReloadIOS(254) in where it initializes the video and controller stuff to make it use IOS254 (best place to stick this is probably right after it tries to loads IOS249), and then recompile.

Recompile it's the problem!

I can imagine Ninendo will remove the old updates from their servers one day. Just the fact that they are being 'misused' (from nintendo's point of view) to re-enable HB and such could make them do so. Or am I completely wrong on this one ??
That fact and the fact that I would like to have the possibility to install the IOS' from sd card to help people on the go without the need for WiFi, brings me to my question.

Is there any way to let the downgrader do it's work right of the sd card ?
I know it needs to be recoded and recompiled, but would it be possible ?
And, if possible, would someone talented enough be willing and able to perform this task ?

Thanks for now, looking forward to your replies.

Hi guys, have a question about IOS Downgrader v1.0

I have cIOS36 rev7 installed.

When I ran IOS Downgrader v1.0 it prompted this:

Code:
[+] Initializing ISFS subsystem... OK!
[+] Initializing network, please wait... 192.168.1.4

[+] [DISCLAIMER]:

ÂÂÂÂÂÂTHIS APPLICATION COMES WITH NO WARRANTY AT ALL,
ÂÂÂÂÂÂNEITHER EXPRESS NOR IMPLIED.
ÂÂÂÂÂÂI DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE IN YOUR WILL CONSOLE
ÂÂÂÂÂÂBECAUSE OF A IMMPROPER USAGE OF THIS SOFTWARE.

>> If you agree, press A button to continue.
>> Otherwise, press B button to restart your Wii.

So I pressed A button, it prompted the following immediately after.

Code:
Press any button to restart the Wii...

My question is, did it work? I have this feeling that it didn't.

i got the same problem. i am using 3.3v1u , the first time i ran the downgrader it downloaded and installed ios31 but that was it then it said to restart. i restarted and it would not play any trucha signed discs at all, in fact it told me the system files were corrupted, so i restarted again and it still would not play trucha signed discs ( it gives the error ). so i then tried the downgrader again and this time you hit A and it says hit any button to restart, it seems that it doesn't detected any trucha patched ioses but the system will not allow any trucha signed discs. any thoughts on the matter?

Am i right to say that it is necessary to run IOS Downgrader ONLY if I am downgrading from 3.4/3.3 to 3.2?

I switched from 3.2J to 3.2U with Any Region Changer and wanted to make sure all my IOSes were still intact. That's why I tried running the IOS Downgrader, which apparantly did not work.

You have to run cIOS Downgrader to reinstall an earlier version of system menu. IOS Downgrader will only reinstall some new IOS:es belonging to 3.4/3.3v2 with the signing bug patched into them.

Well, since you now are on 3.2U, you should already have all IOS:es with the signing bug in place. If you're uncertain, reinstall 3.2U once more with cIOS Downgrader; I've had better luck with that one than with Any Region Changer. (Then, my tip would be installing Starfall.)

I did not upgrade pass 3.2. All I did was to switch from 3.2J to 3.2U. So like you said probably all my IOSes are still free from the signing bug fix.

Is that the reason why the IOS Downgrader didn't seem to work. Or is it still meant to work even though I'm on 3.2?

I already have Starfall installed too.

I installed IOS37 and IOS51 separately to have wiiware and wii shop work respectively.

I'm currently having no problems whatsoever on 3.2U. So I don't think I want to run 3.2U once more with cIOS Downgrader just to make IOS Downgrader work.

Its pretty much a solid rule that you always run

1. cIOS downgrader
2. IOS downgrader

THEY ARE NOT THE SAME and you need both to be safe. running the cIOD downgrader if you have everything already installed wont do any harm. Run both and it will work.

Thanks for the reply djtaz.

I know that they are not the same.

I only wanted to do the following:

1) Any Region Changer
2) IOS Downgrader

But I guess it'll only work after running cIOS Downgrader instead.

The cIOS downgrader (like the IOS downgrader) is badly named really.

The cIOS Downgrader just enables the trucha bug again really.
The IOS downgrader can also be used as an upgrader - hence the bad name.

Wait. Isn't it the other way round?

Should be this:

cIOS Downgader - used to upgrade/downgrade to different firmware versions.
IOS Downgrader - used to enable back the trucha bug.

But I do agree. They could use better names. Nonetheless, excellent programs!

I ran cIOS followed by IOS. It worked! It re-install IOS31 and IOS35. So I guess these 2 IOSes were trucha fixed?

Anyway, thanks alot!

Sorry to bring up an old topic but, how long does it usually take to downgrade using th IOS downgrader? I left it on for about 45 minutes and it got stuck installing b01 on some IOS file. Plus I got some error =-1.

And I've tried running cIOS downgrader but all I get is a black screen, I'm currently following djtaz tutorial for installing the back uploader.

I'm on 3.3U of that matters, I dont know the Version, I can install WADs fine though.

What's the difference between IOS Downgrader 1.0 and Custom IOS Downgrader 1.2?

IOS Downgrader 1.0 downgrades almost all the versions of the IOS in the Wii console to it's corresponding versions affected by the Trucha bug.

cIOS Downgrader 1.2 downgrades the System Menu of the Wii console to any firmware version available. E.g. 3.2, 3.4...etc.
