havent tried gamma, not sure what that is but ive tried gecko os. ill look into gamma and try that

I have been trying to play with the Sports Island 2 as well..using these 'formulas"...I think it wants ios33 like Sam and Max... but still hangs in the safety screen... i have one copy patched with 249 and the other is 1:1... Just thought I would throw this back out for suggestions since it seems to have similar characteristics.

Mine is ntsc on ntsc. 3.2u starfall. I am not sure why it hangs there... I can't remember having any game freeze right there though... I think there may have been one when .1 loader was out when we had to patch(decrypt) just cant remember which it was though...

Set both menu and game IOS to IOS33. If this doesn't work too, i don't know what the problem is. But don't get me wrong, i'm very interested in getting the game to run for you, as softmodders and hardmodders get the same issue. The more information i get about this, the better i can work at a nice solution for this. Are you using a clean 1:1 copy? No regionfree, brickblock, trucha sign or whatever patch on it?

I've been using the menu loader clone as well.... and I actually set both of those to ios249 when I loaded Sam and Max yesterday with a 1:1 copy and it worked... I didn't even have to choose ios33.

Oops... maybe I should've paid more attention.
Just a quick question since the fast reply box is open... @Wiipower, will you be updating the multi-cios app to work with networking? And is there anyway to make the dip selecting option able to select back the other way (d-pad right does not let you go back up on ios selection)? And maybe if you hold down that direction it continues instead of having to keep pressing the direction each time. I know that sounds like some unnecessary features... to request.. if I knew a lick about coding and recompiling/compiling devkit stuff... I would be on it already... I havent touch C code since I was a teenager though...

Network should be repaired in 0.31, it's now working with IOS16 too. I won't change the d-pad stuff, you shouldn't overwrite your original cIOS, so you can take your time to get there.

Same here. I installed CIOS 33 install with Cios 36 DIP install it to ios33 using multi cIOS installer (which as far as I can tell worked), load Gamma, reboot Gamma, Sam and Max shows in the disc channel, launch, select episode, reboots. I also tried Menu Loader clone, as was mentioned ealier, and set Menu ISO and Game IOS to 33. Still no luck. Any advice?

Here is how I get it to work.
- Patch the rom with IOS Patcher 1.1 to IOS249
- Start Backup Channel Gamma, (In my case hold 1)
- When you get the menu reboot with hooks (In my case pressed B)
- When he has rebooted just start the discchannel.
Works flawlessly with Sam & Man and Far Cry.
(Firmware 3.2E, IOS38, ISO53 & IOS55, Mii Channel Fix, cIOS51 fix and ofcourse Starfall)
Dit tested it under 3.4E with al this and that also worked for me.
