I figured out how to make this game load on the Wii without use of the Homebrew or GekcoOS thing. It's actually pretty simple. The problem we've all been having is that that Winakoko or whatever he's called tools for making something region free doesn't work.
Use RegionFrii (google it). So here are the steps:
1. Unrar the ISO
2. Drag ISO in the regionFrii exe
3. Change the Region to USA
4. Now, use Winakoko's (whatever his name is) WiiUR
5. Drag the ISO on the WiiUR exe
6. Now burn the game (I used CloneCD at 2-2.4 speed with Sony DVD-R)

got the game running fine under gecko os... i wanna get it through the disc channel, but obviously the update isnt letting me.
Now I tried both wii update remover and brick blocker, but when i insert the disc a black screen comes up saying something about system files corrupted and to eject the disc and shut down the wii... not the standard disc channel disc cannot be read error. I simply dont even get a chance to open the disc channel. I´ve also tried setting it to use ios 249 and changing theregion to ntsc-u but nothing. I´m convinced that somethings detecting the lack of the update files...
I got a fixed 3.4 wii with a 1.9s wiikey

The game works well and boots from GeckoOs but the game is black and white! Is there way to get colors without buying a better tv? I think the problem is that it wont boot from the Wii menu, I had same problem with Brawl, it was black and white when I booted it from geckoOS but had colors when I was able to boot it from wii menu. Any ideas?

My game won't play. Is it because I'm using a DVD+R? I changed it to DVD-ROM and still wouldn't boot up.
When trying to load the game it shows the Strap Warning screens then it goes to this screen and just stays there. What does this mean?

Anyway, I have firmware 3.3U
I did everything correctly, twilight hack and homebrew channel. I installed cIOS and then installed backup launcher gamma 0.3
I get a "dvd error 324 no cIOS" everytime I try to boot up the game. I force NTSC but nothing. I think it might have something to do with the burn I did:
It was on a DVD+R and patched it with regionfrii and wiibrickblocker. Or is this error common and is it something else?
should I just reburn with nothing patched up or anything? I don't want to waste too many DVD's, so I'm asking first...

I actually found something on it, and yes, it could possibly be because of the DVD+R. According to this:

I have to change the book type of the DVD+R's, but my drive doesn't support that, so I'll have to just go out and buy DVD-R's. This might work for anyone else who burned them to DVD+R's and get the error code 324, although I can't confirm or anything since I haven't tried it yet, but it is somewhat confirmed by someone who simply told me to change the booktype when I asked about DVD+R's.

get file like he says & paste dem on yr sd card(make sure da card is empty b4 hand) then down load this

u then need 2 crate a app folder in the c:\...\..\25178_ELFDOL_Converter_windows folder. put each boot.efl file from geckos17b and region free folder 1 at time.
These will now change to boot.dol. Place these bac into their folders on yr sd card. then it will work
if u dont hav hd componet cable it will only display in red. u need 2 set force 50hrz in geckoos 2 get colur.
or 2 fix the colour downlaod wiifrii2.3b get the key.bin in the wiifrii folder cut & paste yr iso in there, run the .exe file
select ntsc j 2 pal
then video mode = smart pacther. This will now be ready 2 burn this fix the colour issues on tv's. u will hav 2 selct force 60hrz from gecko os doh
