Hello,

I know I am new here. But I am NOT going to give something I can't like "Team Matrix" or whatever.

I have started the priliminary findings of basically what I call the Wii "CopyPaste Rock Band Launcher" project. I have been searching through IOS37's unpacked .des files, and found that in two of the decrypted files I seem to have found the drivers. My eventual goal is to create a fully-functional cIOS (aiming for IOS246), and rewrite gamma (or, in all time, theta or whichever comes next!) to run on this cIOS. I require three things:

1) Interest. Obviously there is some because I have run into three threads about this.

2) More coders. I AM A NEWCOMER. It doesn't mean that everybody else will be doing work. It just means I'll need assistance.

3) Guinea pigs. I mean beta testers.

I would really appreciate the help, and remember- this will go a long way for both ScoreHero and GBATemp in the long run.
By the way, I am ComicBookGuru on ScoreHero.

You need to clarify what your goal is. Many people will have no idea what you are talking about or what your reason for focusing on RockBand is. I'll assume you are trying to create a cIOS and backup loader that will recognize RockBand guitars and drums as the current backup loaders fail to do so. Am I correct or is there some other goal(s) in mind?

Yeah thats what he means.

I personally think you should modify the loader and/or cIOS already out (maybe then the feature will get implemented into future updates).

I'm assuming thats what you were going to do, right?

Yes, this was my plan. I'm working with ScoreHero, and I've PM'd WiiGator (no response yet). Again, some coders- maybe from the SoftChip project?- would be greatly appreciated if they were willing to help.

I should also probably see what I can do about putting the source on Google.

Oh, I thought I read something before on scorehero about this. Sounds like a good plan.

I started on some art for a gui/channel. I'm at school so I can't upload them right now (and I'm not finished

As far as i understood, you "only" need a cIOS37 with a backup launcher dip. Modifying WiiGator's loader or SoftChip to load IOS246 is a task of 10 seconds. Maybe when SoftChip finished its dip, you can easily use it to customize IOS37. Without that, i don't know if it's possible to use Waninkoko's dip patch for IOS37, as it is only a patch and not a complete dip module. But i am not an expert at this. Maybe you can extract the dip from Waninkoko's cIOS36 and add it to your custom IOS37.

I'm a bit confused here. What exactly does this have to do with Rock Band?

Read the thread or GTFO.

I did read the thread. I just don't understand what exactly this launcher is trying to launch.

Apparently, using the Backup Loaders prevents the USB instruments from working with RB Backups/Originals. I assume this project is to fix that problem.

Wouldn't it just be easier to install using WiiGator's cIOS installer and switch the input version to 37?

Wow. I don't think that's actually crossed ANYONE'S mind yet. As of late, I don't know how that would work XD
Can you please elaborate a little bit?

Also, I have not even HEARD of that dip module... I will definitely take a crack at that.

just patch ios37 with a backup enabling dip module and use the resulting cios with a loader of your choice.

Unfortunately, my friend, I cannot test this at the moment. (Wii's in Sasebo- I'm moving there soon).
I will relay this information to ScoreHero though, I'm sure they will find this information VERY useful.

If you do it, I could test it. Or if its easy enough to patch it I could do it
