I've tried it as well and it seemed to install correctly... no changes that I am aware...yet I don't have a bluetooth keyboard or the equilavent to see if this feature is working....

Anyone have any official details on what 3.4 actually does and how to utilize these features?

There were also 3 yes/no questions during install... I answered yes to all...

Install IOS## Y/N
Install Miichannel Y/N
and one other I can't remember...

Shit it's late and I am crashing....maybe the magic will arrive while i'm dead for awhile..hehe

The new Mii channel does not use the new IOS50 - The new System Menu does. System Menu 3.4 does a lot of wonky things that 3.2/3.3 do not. I, and several others have been trying to figure out exactly what's going on, but in order to make some of our modifications that require fakesigning, we needed a patch for IOS50 to allow the strncmp bug.

Our patcher defaults all options to off. I've had some communications with CashMan (the gentleman responsible for the Mii Channel Updater) and his installer is basically identical to our mod of tona's except that it has graphics / sound and cannot install IOS50. His original revisions removed all of tona's copyright information and was a violation of the license. Since then he has put tona's copyrights back into the file.

Both applications require an active, working internet connection on the Wii (don't worry, it won't enable auto-updates or break the twilight hack). I am removing the IOS50 patch from our version, however, as the IOS50 modification was not intended for general public usage just yet.

So far, I've been unable to find any kind of "automatic update" procedure in the system menu, but that does not mean it isn't there. My personal theory is that this is strictly a legal rewording, however, I do believe that Nintendo will try to implement this in the future, perhaps a future revision of 3.4.

IOS50 does have some additional changes, and we're still analysing to find out how much has changed, where, and why.

IOS254 is a copy of IOS9, and a version number increase in PatchMii will get it reinstalled, but nintendo may decide to require the IOS9 copy in future nintendo releases. We're not able to issue a statement on behalf of Team Twiizers, and yes, we agree that the general public should just wait and refrain from any patch whatsoever until Twiizers or ourselves are able to properly analyse it.

That being said, the Mii Channel patch is completely safe. And if you choose to install IOS50 using our patch, remember the signing bug modification may cause other problems within IOS50 itself. We won't know until someone has completed analysis.

For everyone else: Wait for BootMii. Wait for Twiizers. Just wait, please.

I'll wait for bootmii , I don't like bugs that not tested all the way .
