WTF somebody got banned for one month for playing early?
When did M$ start compromising with the banhammer? I thought it was always "bannnned - for-ev-er, for-ev-er, for-ev-er..........."

yeah, & I said "wowz this is big news" cos M$ haven't permanantly banned anyone for a while as far as I know.
I usually don't bother about the "don't play this online till its released" stuff but I think with this one, I'll hang back.

The "fake" copy of Fallout 3 works fine.
Hm, then i mustv'e downloaded a different one since what i read was that alot of the subtitles were not right and other stuff didn't seem to work properly etc.etc.....
Or i might just've mistunderstood xD Man i sure hope i didn't xD

Haha, I love these people who come on here and say you'll get banned if you connect to live. Where do they get these stories, their friends aunt's dog's nephew? You will NOT get banned for playing this online, and certainly not "instant" ban. The game has been leaked in some stores already, so unless they have a way of telling if it's a legit copy or a burned copy(which they haven't been able to as of yet), you are fine. This can be said about every game for 360, as long as it's a retail copy.

Normally I'll play anything online no matter how early. Lol see some of my old posts boasting my huge pirate balls. But after seeing that happen, lol I don't wanna risk it. So I just been playing bot matches offline without my hdd attached
Damn, with all of these early releases I'm really starting to regret not flashing my 360 yet. Might be one of the first things I do when I get home next month.

Judging by your post, I'd say you and your friend are young. Your friend was probably temp banned for inappropriate behaviour, or something similar. There have been NO reports of people being banned for playing Gears 2 early besides yours. Microsoft only bans pirates in waves, not one at a time like you say. There hasn't been a wave in awhile, although people are indeed worried about this upcoming fall update. You can be banned at anytime for using backups. I was just reporting what I saw with my own eyes. And how could he have gotten banned for inappropriate behavior when we were playing in campaign mode?

Might not of been gears that caused the ban. Far as I know they aint instant , so could of played a bad backup at some point , and the hammer just happened to come down while playing gears. Makes no sense to have instant ban , can catch more people if they don't know what disc triggered it.
