ok uninstalled everything
ntsc wii 3.3 installed, yesterday's update not installed

installed
CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad
CIOS_FIX.wad
BackupLoaderChannel0.2.wad
GoldDiscChannelLauncher.wad

the instlled DVDX advanced option ISO249

tried star wars force unleashed pal and scarface ntsc

Backup Channel (blue background)
using force ntsc
hook type (this loader says disabled)
Ocarina Off

SWFU Green Screen scar face black screen

tried
Gold Disc Channel (the backup loader, back up loancher at top is in red background)
using force ntsc
hook type GBpad
Ocarina OFF

SWFU geen screen Scarface black

turned off the force NTSC for scarface

black screen

Hmmm the new zip i had doesnt have the CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad in the normal folder so where did you get that and why did you re-install it ? the instructions dont say to install it.
How did you install the Gold Disc channel cause thats not in there either.

I dont think you followed the step by step instructions - seriously , you need to do that.

if i'm starting from scratch taz, i dont need to install the cios rev5 again? just straight with the fix?

not saying i'm gonna start from screatch coz my 0.1 is working

not trying to confuse things either sorry XD

because I am an idoit and when I downlded the new zip and unzipped it just merged with the old folder, strting over and trying again

feeling like a moron lol, but I will let you know what is up

did I have the settings on the loader right for loading the game?

yeah it does look like the settings were correct - but it can be confusing and hard to troubleshoot when people dont follow the step by step and do things in a different way.

Its very hard to work out whats on their system unless they follow all the guide but lots have said it works when the guide is followed.

ok followed them EXACTLY

get a green blip then black screen on scarface

installed cios fix
backloader

didnt mess with the other ios5 file

installed dvdx

weird hook type is disabled and wont let me change it

Ok thats the correct loader and cIOS now so it should be working - did you patch the game before burning ?
Have you tried any other games to see if they work ok ?

I used the patcher in the old file in your sig

had a folder with the ISO, patcher and common key (the same one I use for injecting roms)

right now going back and using the patcher in the new files

Yeah with the new cIOS fix you just need that and the boot.dol in my zip (and of course the DVDx installed to iso249)
If you have the rev5 you can usually install over it without removing - but sometimes it has to be uninstalled for the new one to work - not sure why

WORKING GAMES:
-Scarface: The World Is Yours NTSC

so it may be the download or the region of it - very strange issue , but at least your up to date on the recent files for now.

Nope - thats the way its supposed to be - new boot.dol does that to save you having to change it every time - it works better.

hmm what exactly is a rolling screen ?
have you tried any other games on this to confirm that its not the game itself ?

the lisecned by nintendo starts at the normal spot, and kinda roll down the bottom then starts at the top of the screen and so forth. i am downloading anther game to try now

I got me NTSC version of One Piece (the compatibility list says it works) i patched it with Regionfrii but it still does not work ... how come ?

Try playing around with the options like force NTSC and stuff. And make sure you're using the latest loader and cios.

You're signature reveals a lot more about you're location :>

And if you're using wiigators loader based on GeckoOS it SHOULD boot the game without RegionFrii. Just try Force PAL60 orsomething like that.
