Well Its a sad week for our forum, two of the most recognisable personalities decided to quit!

This thread isnt for dragging up the reasons why they quit, or for arguing forum politics, but to say farewell to two great contributors!

To Orc, I always enjoyed your art and admired your talent. Seeing your work here inspired me to pursue my creativity and give it a go! You are/were a great contributor to the forum and shall be greatly missed. This place is less without you.

Linkiboy, we didn't really see eye to eye here, but I always respected your balls to say what you thought, and not give a shit what others thought of you! I always respect that!
I would rather not get on with you in a forum, but have you here as a member, then not have you here at all!

Firstly I was once like you, but much much more funny and creative!

Secondly these two members had a huge level of respect on the forum, which at this rate you will never attain!

Thirdly Im not asking you to care, and im not asking you to participate in this thread! If youve got nothing to say about these two members dont post!

WOW! They left?

I didn't really know Orc that well, but I would guess that would mean he didn't stir up much controversy that caught my attention. Well....that and the fact that I tend not to notice who is replying or posting topics most of the time. I'm pretty equal opportunity with my replies or posts.

But Linkiboy I remember. I thought he was a cool dude. I kinda respected his sense of fun and his witty posts/retorts to various threads. Sorry to hear he has left. I don't know what his reasons might have been for leaving, but it IS his right to do as he feels is necessary.

To be honest, I don't know why anyone would want to leave GBAtemp. Even when I bump heads with the occasional member, I try not to hold any grudges beyond my initial reply.....if I bother to reply to the baiting at all, especially when all you really know about anyone on a forum is what they post and their screen name, not who they are in real life. I enjoy all the info gained from this site too much to ever leave, no matter how nasty some members may be towards me....not that there really are any such members at this point, but I think you guys get my meaning.

Now as I said, I don't know why they decided to leave, but it would be interesting to know, just for perspective's sake.

My suggestion to both those dudes would be to stay, but change your screen names and start fresh, never letting on that were ever the old screen name. That way, you could stay the way you were and blend in again or change to try and conform a bit...or to just smooth over whatever issues caused you to feel you had to leave.

Other than obvious trolls or ad-spammers and the like, I hate to see anyone leave our little family here at GBAtemp. Even the noobs....they stop being noobs eventually and I'd like to think they will soon become informed members. I also hope they realize that the joke in my sub-title for my avatar is just that, a joke.

But I digress....
