Hacking #acekard IRC chat

now that gbatemp has started their own irc server, with services, i thought i would make an #acekard chan.

basically i'd like a place to discuss the acekard, debug it, talk about it, fanboy it, whatever -- in a live chat setting. i duno who i'll op in the chan but for now lets not worry about that. if you are interested please come in and talk. i want it to be open topic, talk about anything, be yourself, have fun, etc. i won't be banning and kicking anytime soon.

I was able to set up my DSOrganize so the IRC goes to GBAtemp instead of to the DSO irc...

so, yeah, I'll give #acekard a look-see

i own and use an RPG now thats why i started an AK chan. plus i've come to know norm pretty well on irc and i thought it would be fun to have a specific chan where people can come to ask questions. if you want an R4 chan go make one, no one is stopping you!

on and DSO is eeewwww c|irc for ever baby!

Ill join the room every once in awhile. Although I'm not a wizard on flash carts and what not but I'm learning, so I won't have much to talk about.

talk about anything you want, i don't care. half the time norm and i talk about random jibberish that has nothing to do with gaming at all. thats the whole point of live chat, you don't *have* to stay on topic. plus its off the forum so you can be yourself, swear if you like, talk about cookies, talk about the new issue of playboy for all i care. come hang out and be merry!!!

it needs a way to add a server.ini file so i don't have to memorize 20 servers when half of them won't let me join with out identD. i'm not always somewhere where i can install a fake ident repeater on the pc i'm using.

it needs tab complete for nicks

it needs # after the /join shortcut...

i haven't spoken to cluster in a long time, but the last time he mentioned adding updates if people requested. however, my requests whet unanswered.

I tried the c|irc, but I couldnt connect.

It was an epic adventure just getting my official Ninty wifi set-up to work with homebrew,

so I dont want to muck with the settings to get one prog working when I

can use the (eeewwww

) DSO irc.

i believe cluster gave up on c|irc not too long after finishing the first update, even he hated the idea of irc on ds, it was just a project for him

i spoke to him a number of times in his irc chan. he mentioned updates and never said he disliked it. we talked about coding, the project, palib and other stuff. i think he might have mentioned if he wasn't into the project, and i never got the impression that he felt that way.

So the switching can be realized just by one shift of stylus or by buttons. Besides I wanted others to like this program, especially those who don't know what IRC is. That's why I suggest that they should use minimum of primary settings. You shouldn't even enter your nickname - it would be taken automatically from DS settings. Just connect to an access point and go ahead!
