I was thinking about finally getting the homebrew channel. The only thing is I am a little worried that somehow it might mess up my Wii.

1) Is there any possibility that it might mess up my wii or in future updates?
2) Can I uninstall it fully so there are no more traces of it?
3) Can any of the programs for the homebrew channel mess up my Wii?
4) What are the advantages of getting it?

Thanks!

I fixed question one, I must have been distracted when I wrote it.

1) Yes, but as long as you don't update you're positive it won't affect anything (let others confirm it won't) then you should be fine.
2) Yep!
3) Mostly WAD Manager (the program that installs channels). If you make sure the channel you're installing is confirmed to work then you'll have no problems.
4) Lets see...emulators, custom channels, homebrew games, apps, and now a backup loader

I was worried about installing it as well, but once I did I regretted not doing it sooner.

Not having to do the Twilight Hack every time I want to run an emulator is very nice.
