Please link to the place where this question has been answered (if it has).

For the AK2, which is better (compatibilty/freezing):
CHEAT.DAT
USRCHEAT.DAT
CHEAT.XML

Also, what's the difference between encrypted and unencrypted?
Go ahead and use usrcheat.dat.

usrcheat.dat is unencrypted, cheat.dat is encrypted.

What's the encryption/unencryption for though?

Narin, I found a small mistle in the cheat database. For the game "Super Mario 64 DS (E) [1J22]", it should be called "Super Mario 64 DS (U) [1J22]" as it's the US release that has two different versions, the European release. I double checked this by comparing the Game ID's.

Also, Narin, I relise I PM'd you also, but I was just posting here as well in order to let others know about the error.

I'll fix it in tonights update, thanks

JUst so you know, Narin, you need to fix the above in the game list found in the first post.

Oh, okay. So you're saying that the encrypted ones cannot be hacked/modified except by Narin while the unencrypted ones can be hacked/modified by other people, not just Narin. Was wondering that for some time. I guess the encryption doesn't affect compatibility. Good thing.

Nooo!
I mean that ANYONE can make encrypted files, just they don't want you too!
Narin just runs a huge compilation, which rocks btw!

Narin, thanks for ya` help in da` cheat database. i think if someone have the issue of some cheats dont showning in a R4/M3, they would make they own cheat.dat. I did that to look the cheats for YGO WC 2008 in my R4 and works great for me. Also i suggest someone do a list of games/cheats dont appearing in the database, and need a custom Cheat.dat. BTW The cheats of THE WORLD ENDS WHIT YOU dont appear anymore since the last update. I made a custom cheat.dat and voila! i can get the game work again. so i repeat: NARIN, XANX FOR TAKING YOUR TIME AND HELP ME

P.S. sorry, verry sorry for my lame english. i`m not from america.
P.S. of P.S.: someone knows a certain way to make TLOZ work in my R4? i start the ROM but it says it cannot create a save file. Then i try to ini it whit cheats, and starts but it crashes in the ¨Licenced By Nintendo¨ Screen.
Either download a save, or delete your current one and let it make a new one.

Or, copy everything to your PC, Reformat, then copy back.
Hope I helped!

Thanks for yar` help, Antoligy, but i tried and Nah...the us Release of TLOZ dont work in a R4/M3. I tried whit several save files and none fix the problem. Then in the emu in da` PC and nothing. In some other forum said to me i must get a patch, but if i patch it, the codes of Narin dont work anymore. So my only option is wait a few monts to get the 1.20 firmware -its only a rumor, but i think its better than nothing- of my R4 and see if that fixes the problem.

BTW in another matter, i found codes for My Health Coach, to Bypass the Pedometer, but i tested them in my US copy of the game and dont work... But if you guys want i can post them.

read ya` later ^^

Hi narin, thanks for all your time in the cheats but I'm using a R4 w/ firmware 1.18. The cheats don't show up even with the menu_ds.dat deleted and replaced with the already patched one. Can you help me?

Is there a newere list for GBA cheat codes? I found the link on this page

http://www.handheldsources.com/M3DS/Download_M3DSR.html

But its missing nearly all of the newer GBA games. I don't suppose this thread supports GBA cheats as well? I have tried to make my own .cht files and they never work, I don't know why. So I only use the ones I have been able to find on the net but can't find them for a lot of games

I really like to say thanks to the creator of these cheat files, they really help me to make the games work the way I want. And I really hope that they will continue searching for new cheats.
so with that out of my mouth,

Sorry these are cheats for the Nintendo DS, not the Gameboy Advance.

will it have a big impact on the DB
No, this will have no impact on the cheat database. Flashcards use Action Reply codes, not Codebreaker codes. While I have converted Codebreaker codes to the Action Replay format, 99% of the codes came from Action Replay sources.

I have no intention of stop updating the cheat database. I'm glad so many people enjoy it!

Hey Narin, what can I do for codes with games that I've needed to patch? Some of the games won't load for me and tell me that the data can't be read and to turn the power off and reinsert the cart; so I've patched them. Now, I can't use the codes for them.

Um... does it matter?
GBA games are slow and glitchy on the M3 Real when using cheats, and having too many stops it working at all.
Also the codes are badly translated, and un-updated, So basicly they are the first set of codes made by people.
(Translation tip: Max Blood, means inf health...)

And... Thats the old version, I have the new set, which i up to 2800, search for it!

Nope, these are ALL action replay!

When you patch them, it changes the offset so you will need to find the game ID, edit the dataase manually via the fist post.
