Which is exactly why an in-game menu is needed. It must be possible short of a full save state feature since many flash cards have had in game menus without having RTS support.

The fact that these different RPG firmwares conflict with each other like this is really a shame. When the RPG was first announced, I imagined a nice open source community with a single firmware in SVN that everyone including the Acekard team would contribute to and which could be forked for different versions emphasizing different features, but still share a common trunk. I guess that was too much to expect, though, since most developers still haven't really embraced or even understood the larger concept of open source yet apparently.

This might be EXTREMELY off topic but here goes:

Anyone want to tell me the full story of what happened to bliss and why he bailed? I wasn't active on these forums for a couple months before I came back recently so I was not here at all and don't really know the complicated side of what happened to bliss. I am not a noob. I know who he is and what he did for the RPG and stuff but can one of the two coders, smiths or normmatt or someone else that knows well tell me what really happened that he quit? I think the RPG/AK2 probably would have a vastly different firmware if he was here today. Thanks.

For that you can really only blame the acekard team. Instead of giving developers trunk access they just gave us our own separate branch, which just creates problems. Not to mention the differences me and Smiths have against how Bliss' firmware does things also led to a split between development work.

There isnt exactly a definite answer than why bliss left. Only that he stated something about back biting cowards which i assume he means me and Smiths. Other than that well he had a tantrum and left.

Normmatt and Smiths, please, include this savelist.bin in your firmware. Inclunding savelistex.bin would cause more problems with noobs...

put a line in globalsettings of "internalTXT = 1" and view a text file for fun. still haven't figured out where to put the option in the GUI.

I tried to use the AceKardManager thingy, but it gave me a Netframework error.

Correction, it led to the destruction of bliss' development work if I understood your post right. Not just a split.

I would just like to note that on this firmware, on my patriot 2gb micro sd card, I got the blue/black screen which freezes and that it did not make a globalsetting.ini, nor did it work when i got one from another source and put it in (the skin UI name was correct)

My microsd was formatted as fat32 (i tried fat also) but both yielded same results.

People, enough of that! I ask you to stop talking about that "conflict". Extending this subject seems like trying to provoke the people involved, even if this is not your intention.

About the "card not correctly recognized" problems, you really don't need to report anymore. Just wait. The fix is coming and seems to solve the problems of both cards (AK2 and RPG). My RPG is correctly recognized with the "beta" (not released to public).

I think i found a small Bug in combination wiht EZFlash 3-in-1.

When i start a GBA Game from the AK Main Menü:

Edit: LOL! Look at the Time i made the Pic. 1337 rules... lmao!

i choose Slot 2, then on the Upper Screen the Game should Start with a "Game Boy Advance" "Frame". (like this)

but this is what happens:
The Background (Menu) from the Touchscreens goes to the Top and "overlays"? the GBA Screen, and its flickering. Only the "Frame" Flickers not the Game.

When i start the GBA Games not directly from the Menu it works perfect. (Example: GBA Folder -> gbagame.gba)

Awesome bug find on the border. That has to do with porting gelu's code 100% without merging it with the existing code.

I have a question. Since I don't have an Expansion pack for Slot-2 like Ez3in1 or whatever it's called, I was wondering something. I have the actual cartridge for Pokemon FireRed and was wondering if I load the game but the save from Slot-1. Or can I actually get rid of data on GBA cartridge. Haven't tested it out seeing as I'm not at home at the moment. I was thinking that if I had a save from VisualBoyAdvance, I could load it. I don't know. Sounds kinda stupid though but whatever.

1.You can add support for directly download of skins. That would be a nice feature

2. On my Ak2 the external loader option with the new engine doesn't work.

The skins feature is kinda pointless in my opinion because they don't get updated too often as much as the Cheat Database does so yeah. But then again, that's my opinion.
