how many flashcarts have you gone through, did you change becuse it wasn't working, you didn't like it, did you buy a new one to upgrade?
which flashcart did you have before and now ex:DSTT--> Acekard 2 --> supercard

how many flashcarts stopped working?
how many do you have?
how many are still working?
how long did you have that flash cart? ex: supercard 5 months, acekard 2 one week

I've gone though 3 flashcarts. FireCard, R4 and CycloDS.

FireCard was my first flashcart ever, I was new to the roms scene for hand consoles - I started last August. I bought my first card in September which sadly died in December/January. Only just over 3 months.

I didn't like FireCard - I found it very difficult to use. I always had problems with it. It finally died - it wouldn't boot up. Even with the tricks I tried.

Then, I bought R4 just after Christmas and tested it for my fiance. It was an okay card. Much better than FireCard in my view. But still bit difficult to update and adding themes. I had problems with one or two games on that card. My fiance is now the owner of this card and loving it. Although, I add themes and games for him!

Now, I'm a proud owner of a CycloDS - best card out of the 3 cards I tried. CycloDS is very easy to add roms, updating and adding themes. Very easy to use. Themes are awesome on CycloDS.

TeamCycloDS (their website are currently down, surprisingly) are always fast with updates and does listen to your requests and help. I've had this card since February.

bought 2 m3 simplys lil over a year ago - they still work

Bought an m3 real with gba expansion - still works good too

wife and daughter use the simplys, and I use the Real with GBA expansion

All three of us couldnt be happier, as all the carts work great, and do what they are supposed to very well.

Ive been using my CFW psp more thou lately. Some good psp games, and ps1 titles Ive been playing thru.

Seems DS has had a huge flux of quick cash in games being released. For every 25 games released 1 might be worth playing. Then people wonder why flashcarts are so popular.

I'm on my third, now.

I was browsing the NDS accessories at wal mart when I came across the Max Media Dock. I'd never heard of a flashcart, but I thought it'd make a decent media player. I got it, and a 1 gig CF card.I went online and learned how to make it run a few ROM backups. I used this for four months. It was fast, but it was bulky, overpriced, and severely limited. I wanted more.

After this I got an M3Simply, with 1 gig of MicroSD, and was very happy for a while. I had spring trouble from the first week, but this wasn't difficult to fix, or live with. Eventually the MicroSD card began losing connection and fouling the card, losing my saved games. After 7-8 months of use, it was time to upgrade once again.

M3 was good to me with the Simply, so I stuck with them and bought their next generation card, the M3Real, with a 4 gig SDHC. It sticks in my DS, but there is little-to-nothing it cannot do thus far. I have no complaints, after 8-9 months of use.

Sold the R4, threw away the AK2. Plan on upgrading to CycloDS whenever DealExtreme restocks them.

Just one. I usually go for carts that haven't had bad batches and aren't really know for dying. I currently own an Acekard RPG and couldn't really ask for anything more except for better team support but the cart itself is great. However, all my friends and classmates really like flash carts since I got them interested in them so I am thinking of getting 1 more flash cart probably an acekard 2 since I am already familiar with acekards so I can let my friends take turns borrowing them and play whatever games they want. Thinking of getting myself a cyclo ds just to try the exclusive features but IDK if it is worth it just for the features.

EDIT: Forgot I had my GBAMP v2! This thing is easily my savior before I bought an Acekard RPG. I played all my NDS games on it with Max Overload and its done EVERYTHING I every wanted to do on a DS and GBA at just a $25 price tag. Currently, I still have like 15 games on it in my slot 2 DS today with a 2G CF card and I use it for playing classics like MKDS, Kirby, Pheonix Wright 1, NSMB etc.

I've had two cards. Got a G6 lite around august 2006 , used it up untill January 2007 when I got a R4 and the G6 was relegated to playing gba roms. Still have both of them now , still both working fine. R4 for ds games , G6 for when I want to play gba games. Going to upgrade the R4 soon , it's served me well for a year and half , but I want sdhc support now.

Also have a ezfa sitting around which still works , but guess that don't count as it's a old gba card.

I've had my R4 since shortly after it's release.
I was looking into DS homebrew/ROM playing, and found out Slot1 devices were getting popular, and that the R4 was coming.

After watching updates in the Slot1 field a bit, I got some monies and purchased my R4.

No problems, aside from a scare with my DSPhat. (The DS was dying, didn't like to read game carts at times)

So.. I've had this one flash card so far. But with the lack of updates, I may be switching to a CycloDS sometime soon.

I've still got my trusty old Supercard SD. Bought it when Slot 1 cards were still a fantasy.
Had no problems with it at all, except for the odd game not working. Bought a Supercard 1, Acekard 2, Edge and an itouch, (still waiting for them to arrive) planning on trying them all, and keeping the best one and selling the rest off to my mates. Ohh and theres no way I'll be selling my Supercard SD and my superpass + programmer. Its been my friend for quite a while now.

I have an M3 Lite Perfect from way back when, still works great for GBA games. =P
The first Slot-1 carts were released just a few months after I bought the M3, I picked up an M3 Simply for NDS games.
I was a bit concerned over the announcement by the R4 Team that they'd release R4 firmware that could possibly harm the DS if you used it on non-R4 carts, and that's how I played newer games on my Simply, so a month ago I got an Acekard 2. =P

For me I have only had 1 flash cart, X-ROM 512mb. It's the perfect flash cart IMO and has worked perfectly all the years that I have had it and can play everything that I have asked of it.
