Why don't those kids just buy a modchip instead? About that Norwegian guy (I'm Swedish so I would mock them right now but I won't) that its a big business in Scandinavia. There are plenty of stores flashing Xbox360 with X-treme firmware etc. ISo they just go out and download a file and just use it to their on profit? Hey easy money I guess...
So its kind of a grayzone and ofcourse alot of stores would want this bug to be released to the public so they could earn some more cash.
The first flashing I saw costed about 90€ for a Xbox 360, since it was new. So it big money.
we will never know what this exploit was, he only released emails the people sent him, and i think a passage from himself on the situation, this doesnt mean anything, why make a thread about this?

With this I don't mean to flame anything or anybody. It's just that from what I have read and seen from Bushing's efforts I think I trust him more than Waninoko with this stuff. I would prefer to have more homebrew developmentson the Wii, the scene is capable of many things and I wouldn't like them to be stopped by Nintendo. Maybe they could release this "exploit" or whatever but with code to stop it from running backups? Besides there aren't many good games on the Wii, it is easier to buy used ones or even new ones for unmodded Wiis. (like SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy, you know the drill for the popular ones)
