Hey guys, I'm kinda new here, and to the Wii homebrew scene. I just modded my Wii via the Wiikey, and from what I've heard, in order to get good emulators, and the homebrew channel on the Wii, I have to use the Twilight Hack.

Now, is there a step by step tutorial on how to do the twilight hack? Will I brick my Wii if I do this? If anyone could help me out, that would be great. Thank you.

Sorry, I've been big into the PSP homebrew scene. Doing stuff on the Wii is kinda new to me, I just don't wanna brick my Wii.

Now, I have to be pretty retarded to brick my Wii doing this right? Does it have a HIGH chance of bricking? Personally I think I had a higher chance of f'in my Wii up, installing the Wiikey than I will with this hack, so I shouldn't have a problem then right? I just don't really wanna brick

Just carefully follow the installation instructions step by step, and you should be fine.
After installing the homebrew channel, use that to launch all of your homebrew. Don't go messing around with wads to install other homebrew as channels, that's more risky and you might end up bricking your wii with it

Oh sweet, I didn't realize they had an ISO file to download if you have a modchip. Sweet, thanks for the link DJ. How do I put on an emulator on the homebrew channel then? How do I get it to my wii?

Sorry for the double post. I posted my other one without realizing what DJ posted.

Once you got the homebrew channel (hbc) up and running, it's easy. The channel reads homebrew from the SD card. Just put the homebrew in its own folder in \apps and it will show up in the hbc menu.

Uh-oh I have one more problem...

I have the homebrew channel installed, works great by the way. Kedest, I downloaded your emulator you said you use (http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=95683).

I put it on my SD card under the folder "apps" I put the roms in it too.

I load up the homebrew channel with my sd card in it, and it shows it on the homebrew channel browser as being there, the emulator that is.

I select it, giving me a brief "about me" type paragraph and it says "Load" or "Back" So I hit load, and then it just stays on the screen that says "Loading Snes9x" 0%.

I have to manually hold down the power button on the Wii to turn it off the Wii, because it freezes.

Can you help me with this? I dunno why its freezing, nor do I know how to get into the emulator.

On the root of my sd card, I have a folder named "apps" I put the folder "snes9x" into the "apps" folder. In the "Snes9x" folder, I have the files "boot.dol" "icon.png" "Meta.xml" and "snes9xwi.elf" Where should i put my roms? Do I make a folder named "Roms" or do I just stick the roms in the "snes9x" folder? Because when I go to load the game through the emulator, its saying its reading an error.
