I always use strikeback in stead of bonecrusher, does lesser damage but enemies can't hit you with standart attacks

Well with the game just being out, and it being pretty massive its hard to have a lot of info around already. Although heres a very nice Bazaar list:
http://www.emulationhq.com/viewtopic.php?t=3908
As well as the level stats for each class (Jap version):
http://www.geocities.com/sarcasteak/ffta2_stats_growth.html

Anything else you need should easily be obtained from either the Gamefaqs FFTA2 board or the emulationhq one.

Have fun

Getting a knife is a real pain in the ass. If you have Thieves waiting to be promoted, don't bother. Change them to another tier 2 class so they can get better stat growths.

I really want to unlock sniper but i just can't see how

Learn two Archer A-Abilities for a Viera.

If you don't know how to unlock a class, just highlight it in 'change job' menu and press y. Of course for ??? you have to complete quests to gain access to those jobs.

Someone critique this please?
My wishlist lineup:

Hume: Paladin
Hume: Parivir/Gladiator OR Seeq: Viking
Bangaa: Templar
Nu Mou: whatever the better version of White Mage is
Viera: Sniper
Moogle: Time Mage (with Items ability replaced with mastered Black Magick)

Silenthunter,

Making a hume into a paladin is a very good choice. He has some very good attacks (holy) and is a great tank for your party. U want a Parivir/gladiator, but that isnt possible as hume, the gladiator is Bangaa-only.
A good Hume melee class is Paladin/Paravir, go for that one. Great defence, attacks (Fire/ice/lighning/holy) and good tank.

A Templar isnt that bad for a bangaa, it is a good anti-mage unit, but i prefer a good attackunit or range-unit as a bangaa, so i would go for a dragoon/gladiator or dragoon/master monk. A mastermonk has very good stats growth, and has great movement and speed. As range-bangaa i would make a cannoneer/trickster. both range, with great support skills (and trickster is fast, but magicbased).
If you want the templar as unit, go for the templar/dragoon combination, both spear, so you can use the jumpattack of the dragoon.

Your no mou choice isnt really good i think, there are many better healers than a no mou white mage. go for a viera summoner as healer. (Imo) As a No Mou, go for the Alchemist/sage. Great debuffs attacks and other spells (water, aero, ultimate blow).
A Time mage is also good, with hastega and stop

Viera sniper is a good choice as rangeunit, a good combination is the sniper/assasin, both great in long distance. go for that one

Moogles arent that good, a no mou time mages is better than a moogle one. As a moogle , dont use magic, but instead use a melee fighter, like moogle knight/chocobo-rider. a really fun class to play with. As a range-moogle, use a gunner (fussilier)/ moogle knight. the great range of the gunner with the great attackskills of the moogle knight is a godly combination.

Tim

edit: About ur Seeg viking, It is the only littlemagicbases unit of the seer (lightning attacks), i dont like this unit, but you can experiment with it if you want to. It has some cool stealabilitys (the only unit that can steal weapons and armour), so if you like that, go for it. i prefer a ranger/berserk. Very funny to use (with those traps) and can handle monsters without help from others.

If someone has other question, i think i can answer them. (I am A really great ffta-fan and played and still play it alot)

@shamantimk
I have this team at the moment;

Hume: Parivir/Paladin
Hume: Hunter/Thief
Nu Mou: Alchemist/Black Mage
Bangaa: Master Monk/Gladiator
Viera: Summoner/Elementalist
Moogle: Fusilier/Flintlock

I am currently feeling lack of Time Mage class.

Can you analyze my team?

Thanks in advance.

Hume parirvir/paladin is a good choice, parivir has a great attackgrowth and, as i said in my first post, this is a great combination. nice tank.

Hume Hunter/thief, well, although i use a hume hunter too, it isnt the best choice, a gria hunter is much better, because it has a little better stat growth and it can fly,
so you can always backattack to enemys. A Gria hunter/ravager is a better choice if u want a hunter. A thief as a second ability can be good if you want to steal things, but the best stealunit is the sky pirate/thief, but u can get him not early in the game.

No Mou alchemist/black mage is a good choice, it will do, but as you said, maybe it is better to get a alchemist/time mage, to make it a more supportunit instead of an attack unit. Its your choice, a black mage isnt bad.

Bangaa Master monk/gladiator; I must admit that i havent played a master monk yet (got only 1 bangaa, a canonnneer/trickster), but i heard many good things about it. Gladiator is a great offensive unit, same as the master monk, so i think that this combination gives you a great attacker.

Viera Summoner/elementalist; Cant agree with you on this one, although the summoner is a great magicbased unit, it is better to combine it with the red mage, dubbelcast of the redmage with the magic of the summoner is really great. I shouldn;t use a elementalist, it has only 1square attacks.

your moogle is a good rangeunit, for (de)buffsupport, i suppose?

Nice combination of units, btw, (2x melee, 2x ranger, 2x magic), but why dont u use a gria or a seeq?

Thanks for your thoughts.

By the way i thought that flintlock is lame because of their necessity of having primed status to use his abilities, so i decided to change the second class to moogle knight, as you said on a previous post.

Also i had thought that summoner/elementalist was a good choice because of summoner's prequisite of 2 elementalist abilities

And i have a special sympathy on elementalists because of their "elemental damage+debuff" skills. And because of the different mp treatment in the game (0 mp in the beginning, +10 mp each turn) i think that i won't be able to doublecast 2 summoning spells often ^^

Another question: Is elementalist dependant on magic or melee attack? I am confused because of their weapon scheme of foils.

Thanks in advance again, waiting your next post

about the flintflock, yea, it's really sucky that they have to waste a turn to use a ability. If you dont like waiting (lol), then you can use the gunner as an attack unit , like u said, with moogle knight as second job.

Summoner can easily cast with dubbel cast if you have the halfmp supportability. it will cost 16 mp (2x8) to summon ifrit. (for example). But it is your choice to decide if you want less damage+debuff (summoner/elementalist) or greater damage without debuffs (summoner/red mage)

My thought about the elementalist; i think that the spells of the elementalist are magic bases, but if he just attacks with his foils it will be melee , but i'm not sure about that.

Btw: Another great supportunit as moogle is the bard/juggler combination. The bard has some great songs that can help your units early in the battle. (like a spell that gives units in a small area 10 mp and the nameless song the gives you random buffs, often reraise)

Yeah, I'm missing that one last ability to get her promoted to ninja

Noob question, do you master abilities quicker the more you use them or is just having them equipped enough?

Aha, thanks - wasn't sure if I should be casting cura or whatever even when I didn't need it. I think this is the first game I've played on the DS where I'd actually benefit from having the manual.

Things like this are not in most manuals anyway. Go to http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/game/937330.html for nice guides/walktroughs on the game. This site has great guides for almost any released game.
