isn't it possible for nintendo to make the pokemon battles go 3d?
almost like the battles in the gamecube/wii games.
i've seen the capability of the DS and i think it's possible
they can get great reviews from it, dont you think?

maybe like this

I guess they might be able to pull that off, but can they fit 493 pokemon in 3d.....and it also comes down to speed,D/P battles are alittle on the slow side.......

I don't want to see 3D battles ever in the actual games. They are so damn slowwwwwwwwwwww...
A normal random trainer battle would take like 5-10 minutes, when it should take 1 or 2. Imagine Nugget Bridge with this speed. Oh hell no.

The slow turn-based battles already turned me off. If they are going to do 3D, it should be action combat. Maybe remake the first Pokemon game with only the 150 originals and use something like Tales of Innocence combat engine. That would be heavenly...

Of course, that is just one pokemon fan's dream

can it still be 3d like tales of innocence

That would be great!

ABXY - Attack 1, 2, 3 and 4.

or (like the Tales series)

A - Normal Physical Attack
B - Attack 1
B + Side - Attack 2
B + Up - Attack 3
B + Down - Attack 4

the "speed" of the original battles pisses me off.. i'd like to have faster battles. whether they're 3d or whatever, i don't care, as long as they're not so annoyingly slow.

Damn straight! the orignal 150 are still the best in my opinion, I guess it was okay in gold and silver, but now (D/P) it looks like they've just run out of ideas and are making run-of-the-mill pokemon, it's sad to see that some of the older pokemon have to be replaced to make way for some noobs

and is it just me or are legendary pokemon not quite what they used to be (Shaymin WTF!!??)

I just think they need a better idea than just throwing in hundreds of new pokemon and selling millions of copies of it. A 3D pokemon game is an interesting idea, but i don't know if they will execute it right. Its a hit and miss with 3D games on the ds.

i like the battle system, but i think that griding through a ton of trainers in-game takes way too long because of all the battle animations and crap like that.

Then your playing the wrong series.......

Thats bullshit. The whole game isn't just based on the combat system.

The majority of the game is combat related.....a real time battle system would more then likly turn off most of the competive players.....
