so what about the HDD now?
If you want to talk about homebrew and legality (as most of you sure are expert programmer AND expert legal advisors) why don't do that on another thread?
thank you.
oh....I forgot the question for HDD support was posted numerous times in the past....so forget it....just continue as you wish :-p

awww what does make you think that if there were no piracy, people would still buy the WII? Seriously.
I can guarantee that 50% of the sales are because of piracy, that's why Ninte pwns and will pwn PS3 till sony we'll figure out how to chip their consoles(I'm pretty sure they want the world to chip their consoles).
Xbox 360 is chipable, that's why people buy this 2!!!!!!!! although it sales less than the WII,but that's only cause it's cheaper and it's a real cool gadget(to make your girl move a lot with tight pants/squirt, make her sweaty with her white shirt, anything else is for your imagination).
So piracy is a must to good sales, sorry to disappoint some one, that's my opinion.

cheers RO!

What a war going on here....

Homebrew should be just that....

piracy is an excuse for stealing....

im not saying im innocent, but i live by the philosophy if u like a game, buy it.

i download games to see what they are like..... if i dont like it i delete it, if i like it i buy it, simple

Half of u in here are lucky that its hard to police.

If the RIAA wanted to they could get all of those people's IP's via court order and individualy Prosecute everyone here who has just
admitted to piracy

RIAA stands for Recording Industry Association of America... I don't think they defend Nintendo.

For the record, this thread failed for one reason and one reason alone: The thought of a hard drive is not a new concept. It has been discussed time and time again, with the answer always the same -- Nintendo will not be releasing a hard drive. They see no point in it. End of story.

On the homebrew front, however, we're already able to use hard drives for managing data. So, live with what is provided, since it's better than not having it at all.

I disagree, i'm pretty sure that less than 10% of wii owners know how to (or is planning to) use it for homebrew/piracy
the main stream is not living in these boards and the wii audience is so large that I suspect the majority only want to use what is legitimately available, don't want to bother with hacking stuff

this is even the same thing here, most people only want to be spoon-feeded, they often don't take the time to undertand how the stuff really work

anyway, this is still completely out-topic and this topic is still useless: USB storage is already supported thanks to svpe, this is just a matter of adding support in existing programs

the nintendo solution will be an system/menu update to read what ever is in the USB drive and SD card im guessing you will have to format to FAT32 and then put all your games in a folder called NIN001 or something like that, i bet that you will only be able to copy games from your wii tho, not download straight to the external storage, didnt nintendo say it would be external, not just not external harddrive just not external

Once again another thread that may have had some good info/discussion goes right to shit. Hopefully I'll find a better forum soon so maybe I can actually learn something.

5 pages and the mods haven't done anything.
