Reading their information there is a worry, i want to use Dealextreme, but i DO NOT want to lose my money because of Paypal.
and I wouldn't feel comfortable about supplying funds to a paypal account if they automatically have the right to clean out your bank account then freeze your paypal account for no reason.

their call service said that they cannot take funds out of anything without your initiation and consent, but still its suspicious as they can very easily have funds done with Direct deposit, and there is NO scam involving it because it's going through the BANK which i would trust allot more.

also right now the Australian trade comission something is giving paypal the shitter for forced fee's and making paypal the only method of payment on Ebay.

i do not like this at all why can't dealextreme opt for some other payment method.

That site is almost as credible as sonydefenseforce, almost.

Edit: I'm talking about the paypalsucks.com
Paypal works for the buyer, you can cancel anything anytime and get all your money back.

lately their credibility is going down the shitter,
Wikipedia talks about that anti Paypal site, and usually they only delete whats garbage, that site it made by someone that knows too much about Paypal, and in forums i dont know why people would makeup stories about their paypal experiences being bad.

Btw my only bank account contains my life savings, i'd rather NOT risk it being emptied

from that website apparently Paypal charges fee's even if the funds are non credit card despite the fact the phone customer service said it isn't its only for credit cards,
and someone who i know IRL says the same thing,
and one of the reasons people dont want to be forced to use Paypal on Ebay is because the fee's increase the prices on everything.

Are you able to create a separate bank account? If so, then do so and use that one for Paypal. In fact, it's always a good idea to have more than one banking account.

I've had a Pay Pal account for years attached to my Credit Card, Bank Account and Debit Card and never had a problem with it. I even had someone manage to take money from my account due to my account getting compromised and I got the money back the same day I contacted Paypal. I believe only a very small percentage of people ever had problems with PayPal and their customer support seems to have gotten better since eBay bought them out.

I never really had any problem with Paypal except once.

I usually log into paypal from my desktop, but one time I had to quickly send a payment so I used my girlfriend's laptop to log in. Paypal froze my account saying there was a possible theft (can't remember the exact word but something in lines with hacking or security breach) and needed to confirm my address and such.

A mail arrived in like 2 weeks, I entered the code and it un-froze. Since then I never log into Paypal besides my desktop.

P.S. Bank of Montreal did the same thing, I was travelling last winter and checked my account balance online from out of Canada. I had to go to BMO branch and tell them all transactions are valid and I didn't get any money stolen.

the best thing you can do is NOT setup a bank account with pay pal, just register your debit card or credit card to make payments, that way you won't have any money transferred into your pay pal account, that's what i do anyway, by supplying them with your bank account they gain interest off you as it takes a few days to transfer the money to the seller, by using a debit card it's instant and you don't have to wait.
