I ordered two Acekard 2's from Realhotstuff.com and they both came with a different microSD adapter. it seems very cheap like realhotstuff.com opened the packaging and took out the real micosd adapter and replaced it with these. they work but they are supercheap anybody know why?

They are known to come with these readers now.

What are you talking about Urza? I mean it isn't the greatest reader out there but it is certainly better than the current ones in my opinion. These new ones came with the DSTT and the TTDS, and both of mine borke soon after, and they were annoying as hell to use, the original ak2 reader was much better, especially with the logo and all.

The original ak2 readers have been known to corrupt cards.

If you're still using yours, I suggest you stop.

It doesn't have the cheap plasticky look of most included readers, and actually has a nice solid feel to it. This in addition to the small form factor make the acekard reader a keeper.

lol?

I wrote that before it was well-known that it corrupted cards.

And that still remains true. It does look nice.

Which one is the original? The all plastic one (without the metal USB connector)?

Ye.

I never had any corruption problems.... I've been using it for a while now... U sure I should stop?
I would recommend it. You probably have a hundred other readers lying around.

When you guys say "corrupt," does that mean the card is rendered useless? Or can you reformat it and the card is fine again?

Also, can't you use the microSD to SD card converter adapter? That way you can just stick the whole thing into a regular SD reader?
