Damn June already? Ok ok I know, I'm posting this when we've still not had last weeks English games but I figured that a lot of people are waiting for the quiz results and would need something to do while they wait one measly hour so I thought I post it anyway.

A lot of stuff this week, and some games a lot of people have been waiting for. Shame there isn't much on the Wii though.

<!--coloro:Purple--><span style="color:Purple"><!--/coloro--><b><u>Read to know when a game could be dumped:</u>
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. I love you with mouth.</b><!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->

<b>Description of what the stamps mean</b>

These are just my opinions, its best to try all the games yourself as some games that I don't like, others do.

Awarded to games that show promise or have had a lot of effort put into them. They may not end up to be that good but at least the developers bothered to put effort into them

<img src="http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/7927/voidrt7.png" border="0" class="linked-image" />
Awarded to games that I know will either be bad or are just quickly made games with a lack of style or effort.

<b>Region</b> US <b>Genre:</b> Action RPG
<b>Developer:</b> Flight-Plan <b>Publisher:</b> Atlus

Again Atlus answers one of my prayers and releases a Japanese game I want. It has the makings of being the next great DS RPG.

The World which Summon Night: Twin Age takes place in is called Clardona. In this world there are two main races; humans, and the Kascuza, creatures which have both human and beast like features. The two races were constantly battling, and a short lived peace began after the humans pushed the Kascuza onto a small island. Humans could call up creatures from another world in a process known as "Summoning" and they were constantly researching ways to increase their summoning powers. In one of the faculties, a terrible accident happened caused by a young girl's named Reiha's summoning powers going out of control. The girl was assumed to have died along with her family, who lost their lives in the accident, but she survived, and was hidden with the Kascuza, along with the result of the summoning, a young Summon Beast boy named Aldo. Seven years passed. Near their coming of age ceremony the spirits of nature suddenly began to go wild, and the two of them leave to discover the reason for the strange events.

Reviews for this game have been very strong in Japan, with Famitsu giving it 9/8/8/8. Nintendo Power however gave it 7.5/10 but they do get a lot of reviews wrong.

<b>Region</b> US <b>Genre:</b> Platform

Kung Fu Skunk > Kung Fu Panda. Based on a CGI movie, not sure what its about but I'm sure its about some animals, one of which learns that friends was what was missing in their life etc etc. The only none Pixar CGI film that was good recently was Monster House, loved that film and no god damn animals.

Through 13 legendary levels from the movie and beyond, and spanning land, water and air, players must work their way to become the Dragon Warrior and defeat the ultimate enemy, Tai Lung, as they battle a variety of foes, overcome dangerous obstacles, navigate multi-tiered environments and solve challenging puzzles.

Vicarious Visions have done a ton of games on the DS, they're pretty much Activisions go to developer for licensed games. Some of their games are good and others...real bad, this looks like the usual game by them, it has stylus control which sucks in most of their games. I'd say it'll be crap but don't take my word for it. Home console version looks nice though.

Based on the first three films (hence the title) but nothing from the new one. Using the Star Wars: Complete Saga engine (which was real solid) I reckon that this could be a strong game and looks very close to the home console counterpart.

The game will make use of many of the DS features like stylus control for whip & mic for blowing out torches & control monkeys. You can also play with up to four players. So far reviews for this version have been positive giving it strong 7 & 8's out of 10.

Indiana Jones actually has the best history of movie video games, so many great Indy games out there, especially the PC adventure ones like Fate of Atlantis & Last Crusade and the one Factor 5 did on the SNES called "Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures", which is very similar to their own "Super Star Wars" game.

Well Iron Man DS wasn't bad, not great but there was fun with it, here is SEGA's second Marvel movie game and it looks meh to me.

The Incredible Hulk features key moments from the film, as well as additional plotlines and characters from the character’s rich comic-book universe. Players smash through New York City, battling gigantic enemies amidst soaring skyscrapers in a massive open world.

It is by Amaze Entertainment who have done some solid DS games in the past, though they have also done some not so good games. It could be good little platform basher, I hope it is anyway. Oh yeah some concept art for the home console games show Hulkbuster Iron Man in them...would be great if he was in this one.

Oh dear these games just won't go away.

This will be available in four packages. The first two are just the games themselves, the second two are "My Baby Kit", where you get Storage case for the DS Lite with pockets for games and accessories, a Wrist strap, anti-dust slot protections, battery charger, Stereo earphones,Storage case for 6 games, transparent stylus, finger stylus, microfiber cleaning cloth, air-bubble free high-quality screen protector plus a copy of either game.

The last one was extremely average and like this game is based on some boring Wapanese thing.

A brand-new tale, based on the fourth season of the show, unfolds as William is being held captive somewhere on Lyoko by the evil virus X.A.N.A. Gamers will follow our heroes on a quest to destroy X.A.N.A. Their final challenge is to defeat the mysterious and dangerous Volcano Replika containing the very core of X.A.N.A.: a crater containing a number of towers one of which holds William...

Code Lyoko: Fall of X.A.N.A delivers a brand new experience for both fans of the animated series and RPG video games. In order to complete their missions, Code Lyoko's four main characters will explore the different sectors of the digital worlds, wirth all new, upgraded weaponry in their fight against the evil supervirus XANA and its minions in a brand new turn-based battle system adapted to the Nintendo DS platform.

Graphically its all plain and basic 3D. Yawn.

<b>Region</b> Europe <b>Genre:</b> Rhythm
<b>Developer:</b> Amaze <b>Publisher:</b> Eidos Interactive

Some may be wondering "What happened to Cartoon Conductor US release?", its been dealyed but the Europe version is out this week,

Players unleash musical abilities using the DS stylus to conduct the orchestra like a maestro and compose the music to classic Looney Tunes cartoon scenes featuring infamous characters such as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Sylvester the Cat, and Tweety. Once the famous scenes are successfully recreated, gamers will be rewarded with clips from favourite Looney Tunes cartoon moments.

Looks like an EBA/Ouendan rip off game but perhaps it could be good. It is by Amaze who have been decent on the DS, most of their games are fun though nothing special (Spyro: The Eternal Night GBA was special though). Shame they used 3D models instead of 2D animations.

<b>Region</b> Europe <b>Genre:</b> Various
<b>Developer:</b> Gameloft <b>Publisher:</b> Ubisoft

I knew this would happen and in a way I hoped it would. Here is a 5 in 1 game pack from Gameloft, basically its ports of their big mobile hits.

Midnight Pool: Excellent on the mobile, good here? Who can say it is shown in 2D on the top screen and 3D on the bottom. The 3D bit can be controlled by the stylus. Like the mobile game it has free rules: 8-Ball US, 8-Ball UK or 9-Ball.

Block breaker Deluxe: Like Arkanoid or Breakout? This is the game for you, though their recent sequel to this blows it out of the water and actually betters Arkanoid for me. This is the first game and was pretty good, the DS version has 50 levels & 5 bosses and some mini games too. You can control via d-pad or stylus.

The other three are pretty good too, Platinum Solitaire has 6 types of games on it. Midnight Bowling is the 3D version and has 6 games modes & a 2 player mode. Finally Midnight Hold Em Poker will have up to 6 player modes.

Its a budget title, I've seen this listed for about £15 which I don't think is bad at all, can't say I'd want it as I already got these on my phone but DS owners could be in for a good package. Its a shame that there is now wi-fi though as that could have made this title more appealing.

<!--sizeo:4--><span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b>Stratego: Next Edition</b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec-->

<b>Region</b> Europe <b>Genre:</b> Strategy Board Game
<b>Developer:</b> Gameloft <b>Publisher:</b> Ubisoft

Another budget release & another board game, this one looks better than most that are released..

Both players have an army of 40 (Stratego Original) or 10 (Stratego Duel) pieces. You must try to capture your opponent's flag while defending your own. First, you put together a secret formation. You do this by placing all your pieces on the game board using your stylus.

The pieces have different ranks: the higher the number, the higher the rank. If a piece with a higher rank takes a piece with a lower rank, the piece with the higher rank wins and the piece with the lower rank disappears from the screen. The flag can be captured by any of the enemy's pieces that can be moved.

The formation of your pieces at the start of each round is an important part of the game. It determines whether you win or lose! Try to be creative with your formation. The object of the game is to find and capture the opponent's flag, or to capture so many pieces that the opponent cannot move at all. Players cannot see the ranks of each others' pieces, so misinformation and discovery are important parts of the game!

There is single card multiplayer as well as Stratego Rotation, Open Stratego and Custom Stratego.

Also out this week is <b>Berlitz English Dictionary</b> which there are no screens of or videos or much else but its for those who hate paper...perhaps.

Once again rendering a beloved George Lucas creation in LEGOs, LEGO Indiana Jones features the intrepid explorer in an epic adventure based on the film series. Developed by the same team that created the LEGO Star Wars series, LEGO Indiana Jones presents a tongue-in-cheek take on the first three cinematic adventures of pop culture's most iconic archaeologist, including Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

The game will play about the same on the Wii as it will on the other home consoles, but the nunchuck is used to move and WiiMote buttons are used for action stuff. There are no gestre movements or anything like that so those with other home consoles may wanna go with the 360, PC or PS3 version as you may want the game to look better though there is nothing wrong with the Wii version graphically but I know how some of you are HD whores.

<b>Region:</b> US <b>Genre:</b> Platform Adventure

Fueled with fury, he Incredible Hulk features key moments from the film, as well as additional plotlines and characters from the character's rich comic-book universe. Players smash through New York City, battling gigantic enemies amidst soaring skyscrapers in a massive open world. Players can demolish anything in their path and also use it as a weapon -- pieces of a crumbling building…a passing car…a light standard. They can even demolish buildings with their bare hands. Damage is persistent, and gamers can use it to gain access to previously unreachable areas.

Not a lot is known about the Wii version as most statements for it appear to be about all the home console versions. So unless there are some awesome WiiMote motion controls some may want to stick to the other versions as with Iron Man, this could just be a lower res port. It is developed by Edge of Reality who did the "ok for a movie game" versions of Shark Tale & Over the Hedge but they also did the real good GC Pitfall game too.

To be honest I don't think this game will be that great so if it turns out to be bad grab hold of a copy of the GC/Xbox/PS2 game The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, not only was it pretty damn good but it for some reason looks better graphically.

Also apparently out in Europe on the 6th May are:
<b>Chess Crusade</b> which there are no screens or anything.
<b>American Tale</b> which is yet another Popcorn arcade title, and it must be bad as its not even on their website.

nice as always, thx. Indiana Jones will be nice, still I'll be waiting for Grid and that other title (*hint*).

Looking forward to Summon Night and LEGO Indiana Jones, going to save them for the week after though, since it's my last week at school

I know what you mean, I pretty much object to anything that simulates babies for you girls, including dolls.

Now if it was a more realistic depiction which it included vomiting (extreme stuff thats like waterfalls), trouble bathing them, cleaning up a poopy/pissy nappy only for more to come out all over your hand, trouble feeding, not knowing what they want for the first few months, teething pains, making you use sleep as you're awake and checking up on them to see if they are still alive.

Perhaps something like that could maybe increase contraception in teens.

EDIT: Lagman, oh shit Ubisoft get worse!

Totally agree Hadrian. Plus, the game should cost at least $25,000. And it has to take up space on your card for the rest of your life.

Summon Night and Lego Indiana Jones make this a good week for me! Finally something to play.

Thanks Hadrian.

Just kidding, of course. Waiting for Summon Night really and I'm a bit curious about that Stratego game (I used to love the board game). I found Lego Star Wars a bit boring so I'm not going to pick up Lego Indiana Jones probably...

Off topic but; speaking of Ubisoft getting worse, what's going on with the new direction they're taking the Prince of Persia series in? I mean they changed things after Sands of Time but this new change is totally different.

The partner system sounds kind of fun though, too bad I didn't like how they fought in that movie. Still, I'll probably play it when it comes out (and enjoy it).

On topic: Summon Night is looking good for me, I'll probably buy it if it's good.
