I try to follow this tutorial. I extracted Trucha Signer, added wiikeyset.reg to the registry, opened Trucha, and selected a backup iso. But then I get the message " Error decrypting data". This message also comes up when I select the backup in my DVD drive. Why is that?

Found the problem, I had to use the custom Keyset 1.
I have the same problem, I added wiiketset.reg to the registry, opened Trucha, selected a backup iso and also selected an iso from the dvd rom, and I get the "Error decrypting data".

Then i saw you fixed it by changing ur keyset, so I went to Select Key Set> then I tried all the four options that are there, Retail, debug, custom 1 and custom 2, but each one keeps giving me that error. What am I doing wrong? A lil help plz?

I'm having the same problem here, tried all the four options

EDIT: Got it working! Now it's opening perfectly, I had to download a different wiikeyset from another website.

Would this work for N64? and
Is Wad Installer program is the same with other emulators that had proven to work except N64?

Hi All,

Can someone PLEASE HELP ME on this!

I upped the WAD file to my SD card, installed the VC successfully on my WII.

When I removed the SD card and inserted it back into my PC, My PC says my SD card needs to be formatted.
I tried to format the SD card but it fails each time and I cannot read my SD card from my PC now.

Anyone know how to make it readable agian please?

Im using Windows Vista.

Thanks.

Do not post the same message in two different topics. This topic is about the was installer ISO which had nothing to do with your problem.

Ok...great work...I got it to work with WAD Installer 2.1 on Wii 3.2J + D2C
Used a JAP game iso to boot with the SD, and then the installation is pretty smooth...

The only thing now is that after the installation is done, there is a pop-up box coming up that asked me to go into Wii Settings....It is in Japanese, not sure what it says and will ask a friend of mine to be sure about what needs to be done...

I would uninstall the wad with a proper uninstaller, and reinstall a different version of the wad you installed, if at all

actually the message is regarding the memory space on Wii (which was 0). So I deleted a few things and moved some to SD card...now it is all working now...the Opera Browser is working fine as well...

i just tried this method after doing the TP hack several times unsuccessfully, it worked perfectly on Bionicle heroes. I used WAD Manager 1.0 so i wouldn't have to make a separate installer and uninstaller so i will confirm this works. Regarding the keys though, you may have to erase the extra zeros at the end of the key in the .reg file. I just noted that.

Tried getting this to work on a 3.3U NTSC Wii with a Wiikey chip 1.9s

I used Trucha signer on Madden 09 and opened up the 2nd partition of the ISO. However, the only "main.dol" file is in the SYSTEM directory. After replacing, signing, and burning the ISO the Wii tells me there's an error. Any ideas? Oh and I'm trying to do this with WAD Installer v2.1
