So can I not use any of the other emulators on it?

On the homebrew channel, why wouldn't you.

You can use other emulators. You don't need to ask us you can always get off your lazy ass and try.

Prime, why are you being such a dick today?

aww, did i hurt your little feelings?

Yet use to it, don't ask dumb questions!.

It isn't dumb. Some people aren't as knowledgeable on these subjects as you are. I thought someone may already know the answer to save me having to try and find out that they didn't work.

I can't get goldeneye to work.

Yeah, i just tried it. Shame.

QUOTE(hypochondriac @ May 24 2008, 04:27 PM) I take that back. After about 5 minutes of waiting it has just booted. At 2FPS it doesn't look playable to me.

5 minutes 0_o!?

I have high hopes for Wii64 but it needs a lot more work, i bet the people behind it rushed to make it so that it gets released with the homebrew channel.

(From the README file) Staying current with new releases:
Relax, you will not need to do anything to keep up with new releases of the
Homebrew Channel. When a new version is available, a message will appear
giving you the option to download and install the new version.

Looks like it will make the wii connect to their site in the background. Hopefully there's a way to turn this off.

Oh so thats why the Networking thing was about.

Why would you want to turn it off?

not the networking capability (wiiload) but the feature that makes the wii connect to the wiibrew internet site to check for new versions (like windows automatic updates) that i'm hoping to have control over.

i guess it's just me cause the current implementation is probably more convenient as you won't have to fire up your pc to check their site and download new versions.

Rareware titles will probably be one of the last games to run smoothly on the emulator.

Speakin' of which, Banjo-Tooie (U) runs at about 11FPS max, has major graphics issues and doesn't even recognise my Wavebird.

don't worry, it doesn't straight update. you first need to confirm if you want the update.

i have also heard that SSBB no longer works with 1.5 or gecko region free, its either hangs or appears in black and white, also wii64 does have loads of potential, just give it time, and it would be the new project 64 for the wii

The Brawl thing seems odd, I tried it with the RF Beta and it worked fine minus the fact that my TV doesn't support 60hz so it's unplayable for me.
When I tried it with the 1.5 in the homebrew channel it didn't work although I haven't tried forcing it to PAL60.

Correct me if I'm mistaken but I think Wii64 is based on Mupen64 (In my opinion a much better emulator than Project64(k)
I tested Super Smash Bros. with wii64 and it seems pretty dodgy as well.

Gecko region free 1.5 is buggy and will hopefully be fixed in the next days...
