Translation Kenka Banchou Saga JP→EN — Looking for people to maybe start a fan translation

Hey everyone!
I’ve been looking into the Kenka Banchou games and noticed they never got official English releases. I’d love to see if there are people interested in starting a fan translation team for them — or at least experimenting to see how far we can get.

Right now it’s just me, but if enough people are interested, I’ll set up a Discord server so we can organize, share tools, and start figuring things out together.
Would be great to find:

JP→EN translators (any skill level welcome)
People who like digging into game files (PS2/PSP)
Editors/testers who just want to help polish things later

No pressure, no deadlines, just a fun fan project.

its a bit complicated on how the entire series file structure works. since they seem to use PAC[value].BIN. they are compressed in lzss. and its a bit tricky to actually read these stuff overall.

how do i install this for ppsspp

i've recently verified the 1st game of the series has native ASCII support, and the text is stored as uncompressed SJIS.

You can easily replace it with an hex editor:
