So, for the first Fantasy Life, someone made a save editor before and it was extremely useful back then and made the game a lot funner.

Right now, I have a bugged quest that I'd like to fix with a save file editor for this game, if someone is willing to make one. In my case, the objective "Acquire 20 strangelings" is bugged, in that it shows 20/20 collected, but isn't complete (And refuses to complete, no matter what I do) and I'd hate to start all over again...

If a save editor could be made and let us edit our quest progress, that would be EXTREMELY useful right about now, instead of having to wait for a bug fix. This way we could "bug fix" our own game with your program.

I do know there are cheat tables and trainers for this game, but none of them have the option to edit quest progress yet. (By the way, DrummerIX has a great cheat table for this game and FLiNG's trainer is great for covering the options that DrummerIX's table doesn't have. I use both in tandem with the game.)

And just in case a mod warns me about online cheating and in order to avoid getting into any trouble with them on here: You a have to disable the anti-cheat in order to even use these cheats, which means they can't be used for online play, since disabling the anti-cheat knocks you into single-player permanently, until you re-enable the anti-cheat. I'm asking about this for the single-player aspect. So anyone attempting to make a save editor for this game should be good to go. No rules broken. (I think, anyway. Been a while since I read the forum rules, should brush up on it again, since I haven't visited here in YEARS.)

Edit:

Well, the game's new version, 1.2.1, has fixed the bug. Lol. Still, I'm all for a save editor anyway. Edit our stats, inventory, quest progress, etc.

Cheat Engine Scripts for this on Fearless. One for an item editor though it's a pain to use until you know the process.

well i play on Switch so that wont Work.

First one had an item editor too which was insane useful and it was an Editor for 3DS too.

since the game is crossplatform now a save editor would be even more useful

and what do you mean with "one for an item editor" is there an cheat engine item editor for pc version ?

I am able to copy my game save over to my switch from PC and it will work. you have to know paths and save names.
pc and switch use abit different names.

There isn't strong motivation to make save editor for Switch games as they did during 3DS era. If they did, you will see a separate thread for save editor.

It is reason about why cheats got created for this game.

Also, save on PC and Switch are interchangeable.

hey i'd be glad if you could explain to me a little more clearly how these saves work. I've been trying to export my save file from switch to pc using JKSV but all i get is "gamedata" and "systemdata" with no .bin or anything. also i feel so lost trying to find the actual directory for the save file on pc, there looks to be like 3 different ones and still, after trying to put the switch save files (changing their name to "002DAE74-00gamedata.bin", "002DAE74-00systemdata.bin") in each location nothing happens, to be more precise the game still loads a save file i started on pc as testing, even tho it seems i already canceled all the files related to it. I'm asking for your help because i'm at a point where i just feel so lost.

It's a bit late, but I do have an alpha release of a save editor here: https://github.com/Niedzielan/fli_save_editor
99% of fields match the Unreal objects, it's just nobody bothered to map out the missing ones and put it all together before, and it'll need updating every time there's an update that changes save format.
I haven't explicitly tried it on a Switch save but as mentioned earlier they should be fully interchangeable.

I'll leave the rest to you.Layer 1 (L1):
Method: XOR Decoy (fixed 4-byte periodic XOR / Key: 0xF18F6AA4).
Dummy encryption layer for Layer 1 conversion.Layer 2 (L2):
Method: AES-128-ECB (10 Rounds / FUN_7100157bb0).
Overall save-file protection layer using a standard block cipher.Layer 3 (L3):
Method: AES-256-ECB KeyStream XOR (14 Rounds / FUN_7100157ac0).
Independent stream cipher layer that generates a KeyStream from a key created by adding +1 to the dynamic seed (32 bytes) and applies XOR. Responsible for tOSE container protection.
