Help re-wiring GBA power switch (Burnt Pad)

Hi, I burnt a pad on my GBA power switch, now I'm better at soldering, and I have a spare 3-pin slide switch, and was wondering if I could solder wires to other points on the board and connect to the switch, to sort of bring it back to life.

So unfortunately I accidentally removed the fuse F1, and am bridging with a huge messy solder blob for now. Bat+ is connected to the fuse, it powers on when power is supplied, so I was now going to add the the switch and bridge with a wire, but while testing quickly, the screen doesn't display anything, but the speaker and led function well. I'm going to get a new GBA, just wanting to see if this could be revived in any way. Thanks

What exactly are you expecting..? If you're leaving "huge messy solder blobs" on the board, then that is probably not good for your chances.
