Did the people in this church murder anyone? How do you know that? How would the protesters know that? Do you apply this logic to all civil rights violations and all perceived slights, real and imaginary? Who turned the protesters into judges who can waive other people’s rights on a whim? Say what you will about slippery slopes, but the standard you’re presenting here is… very interesting indeed. It’s always fun watching people load a gun that can very easily end up in their mouth in short order. What you’re suggesting is that one can violate civil rights so long as something they didn’t like happened, including the rights of parties that are completely unaffiliated. At that point there are no civil rights because anyone can claim offense over anything at any time. Law becomes a comforting liberal illusion as opposed to a firm boundary that separates civil society from barbarity. You’re advocating for tantrums. It’s immature and beneath you."Murder doesn't justify even the tiniest bit of disorder/incivility"? If you wage war on a state in the US, you better be fucking thankful that all you got was some yelling in return.
Also, can you even call it "disrupting a religious service" if the pastor doesn't follow the religion's teachings? Seems to me those protestors were being good samaritans by calling out a swindler.![]()
