What would you do if you won the lottery?

Take the lump sum, let the IRS have their chunk so the internet makes memes about it.

Use what I can do buy a home, buy a working car, take care of immediate family.

The rest goes into a political platform to get some actual change going in American society.

I would finally buy my partner one of those Power wheelchairs that can go up and down the stairs.

The one she has right now is great for all terrain but it can't do the stairs and it's already cost like 20k USD. The one in the pic is easily going for 40k+ and then it will need to be ship to Vancouver from Europe as well. Insurance won't 100% cover the cost either so yeah.

Buy a time machine, go back to jan 2nd of this year, and invest all my money into sandisk stock

I'd buy gbatemp, move it to some "bulletproof hosting", and bring back the golden age of the site sharing roms again.
lol is there even any lottery right now that has more funds than Nintenderp? Because suppose that yes - buy them, and no one would have to worry about anal lawsuits over 3-4 decade old games and consoles that are out of print becoming proper abandonware.

Depending on how much, I’d keep what I’d need to fix up the house and get it up to code (it was last remodeled in the 70’s), medical expenses (as three of my meds cost $1,000 a month EACH), and general living.

After that, I’d open a media store that rents and sells video games of all eras as well as media formats from Beta to 4K. Also offer repair services on site as you know older consoles and VCR’s are breaking down.

Then whatever’s left, start a fund to help struggling people with getting them placement, financial support, counseling, etc, with high priority for my LGBTQ siblings.

Depending on the amount, like Powerball, maybe use some of that influence in local politics. Really want the city to buy up these abandoned buildings and houses, use inmates to fix them up so they can learn skills like plumbing, electrical, etc to give them good jobs on the outside, then turn around and use those buildings as low income housing so families who work a decent paying job or two can actually afford to live in a home.

But that’s just me.

- Pay off my house
- Put it all into investment/HYSA accounts
- Live off the interest, quit my job, and do something more philanthropic than making sure my company doesn't get audited
