No but that is because I am on firmware 19.0.1 so I don't need it. I just need the SNES Nintendo Switch Online Full Unlock v4.1.0 so I can add SNES sfroms. But no matter how hard I try I just can't find it. I wish someone would help me get the link to download the ips file
Never mind I got it to work. I just need to fix the hide background mod as it doesn't work for SNES and Game Boy Advance apps. If anyone knows how to fix that mod please help me as it shows up as orange on caVe database manager

Are there mac users here? If so, have you managed to run CaVE? I tried so using a Parallels VM with Windows11 arm, and also Crossover (with a win10 64bit bottle), and both get the same issue twice: when running CaVE, I get the update prompts, then the green loading progress bar, then the main window canvas of CaVE flashes for a few milliseconds and closes silently. I wonder what is going on here. thanks in advance for any help.
The same thing, even on Windows installed on the machine, as you said, it shows the bar for a millisecond, closes and when it opens, there is no update, it's a shame that it's been two weeks since the first post about it and still no solution.

Im having the same issue where there isnt any n64 4.0.0 version, could someone help me out? Is the update file somewhere I could download manually?

Hey @DarkAkuma do you know how to fix the hide background mod in caVe database manager for the SNES and GBA apps as it works for the rest of the apps like NES, GB, and N64 but for some reason it doesn’t work for those two as I would really like to hide the background for those apps

Sorry. No one mentioned the N64 update not working in Discord until a couple days ago. I don't check here regularly anymore.

But it is fixed now, as of a couple days ago.

Off the top of my head, no. I don't work on that mod anymore. It's just auto-maticly generated each update. So I'm guessing something got changed and is screwing up that automatic generation.

Ill have to look into it, but I cant promise when. The recent SNES v5.0 update has... been draining me. It's still not even out for supporters. Best advice for now is to post about it on the issue tracker, that way I cant forget.

I do recall an issue with the GB or GBA version that I fixed. They changed something, and the result is that I had to approach hiding the background in a different way. That is likely the issue with SNES.

Thank you so much. I didn't want to bother you since the last post that you made you were upset from that moron that took the mods out of patreon.

Hey kind of random but has anyone managed to get Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest to work properly on the Nintendo 64 NSO app (3.1.0) as there are some glaring issues like Link's model not rendering as it appears black and the Kokiri Forest not even rendering as it just displays a fog-like screen and I don't know how to fix it please help me

Greetings! Just wanted to share a little something I haven’t seen talked about online regarding Pokemon Trading Card Game 2 (Pokemon Card GB2: GR-dan Sanjou!) but people might already know about. For those seeking to card pop/rare card pop (especially for the Lugia & Here Comes Team Rocket cards) or give/receive cards, it’s possible to do these IR communications after adding the game to the GB NSO app with CaVE Database Manager! In CaVE there is an “Enable IR” option (you may need to scroll right in the window), which is probably there because the original game was officially added a while ago and supports IR.

I understand GBEnhanced+ exists for emulating GBC IR but that’s a very WIP emulator and I’ve had very inconsistent experiences with it. Now if I want to try getting the 2 card pop exclusive cards, I'd do the following:
  • Create a new TCG2 save (to generate a different player ID)
  • Card pop with Ronald so the card pop menu shows on the title screen.
  • Convert the save file to a cartridge.sram file using euan-forrester’s online converter.
  • Open up 2 instances of Yuzu and connect them in the multiplayer tab.
  • Open the GB NSO app in both instances and connect via the local multiplayer.
  • Card pop in-game.
NOTES:
  • GB NSO v1.4.0 is what I used because the latest version crashes on emulators. Any version would work on real hardware, I just don’t have a second modded switch to test card popping with.
  • Both Yuzu and Ryujinx will lag when connecting 2 instances via local wireless depending on your system. I imagine this is because IR packets are being synced every frame which causes overhead, but the original game runs it just fine.
  • I’ve tried hosting Yuzu multiplayer on my Win 10 PC and having my Win 11 laptop connect to it, which does improve the framerate but whenever the client sends inputs that does cause stuttering, again most likely for packet syncing.
  • If you want link cable battles to run smoother, disable IR in CaVE.

EDIT: I managed to get the phantom Lugia card after 134 tries!!! I'm very happy I figured out a sorta legitimate way to obtain it. I also find it funny that this was done on Nintendo's official GB emulator.

I had SNES Online Version 5.0 installed and didnt notice that.. made the F5 Sync with Cave and now can't load it - where are the originally SNES Online Downloaded Files Stored? So that I can delete the modified Version with 5.0 ?

I've been struggling the with N64 modding and still no success. The folder generated by CaVe is never the same name as any other in my contents folder. So I'm unable to replace the original, copying the folder there does nothing and I can't identify which one belongs to the N64 NSO app.
Any suggestions?

Hi, I have a problem. When I save the game and close NS64 Online, the saved game is not kept.

Thank you very much for the adjustment, very cool work you do, I imagine it must be a bit complex to manipulate this Nintendo emulator, but the result is surreal

Hey can anyone help me please I can’t get Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six to run on the Nintendo 64 Nintendo Switch Online app it’s unable to start the software even though it says it should work decently on the N64 compatibility list and I downloaded the .dtz from caVe database manager so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong I’m on version 3.1.0 on a modded unpatched Nintendo Switch V1 firmware 19.0.1 is there an updated .dtz file link anywhere any suggestions? I would appreciate DMs as well if possible

But once again after months, I'm trying to inject SNES ROMs, but failing miserably.

I downloaded:

- sfrom Tool - v1.3.0.1

- Robin64's Un-Official SFROM Tool Database Extension and Canoe Patches

- All-in-one Packages - VC&SDA

My idea this time was to test a popular ROM like A Link to the Past again. However, after using the SFROM tool and going through the whole Cave Database process, if I try to open the ROM, it won't launch.

My emulator version is: 3.4
My database version is: 3.4

Yes, I activated the full unlock for the SNES. I went into DBI in MTP and performed the correct synchronization with the cave database. My hypothesis is that I'm doing something wrong with the SFROM, but everything should be correct according to the screenshots/pictures, right?

Can someone help me? I just want to create my custom pack

PS:
Yes, I read the FAQ topic - "Why does the custom SNES game I added fail to load?"

Just to confirm, applying the latest Patreon build with the latest mods (and DisplayEx instead of the other two mods) to SNES NSO 5.1.0.0 is supposed to work? Been trying to get it running for a hot minute now, but something just isn't working. There's a whole bunch of pop-ups when syncing, and trying to transfer via USB gets me no further than the splash screen.

Thanks for the excellent tool.

Has there been a change in the metadata/image settings? The most current docs that reference this are pre-1.5 and reference a /database folder that doesn't exist. I put everything in one that I created and no dice.

I do see that there is a separate metadata db folder with the json files but no similar folder for images. Do images go there? Is there a description of the application's directory structure that I've missed?

Does this work with snes on 5.1.1? I've followed all yhe instructions and put the patches in place, I've even tried a blank playlist and it hangs on the red load screen.

Using latest cfw and ams, works fine with Sega Megadrive tho 🤷

Merry Christmas!

I like to release or announce stuff on Christmas if I can. This year... Its not much, at least for Public Release users... But its something I guess...

The SNES Full Unlock has been updated. It has been changed from a suite of IPS patches, to a pre-compiled binary. Basically, I wrote C++ code that does the patching now.

As before, it supports patching all versions from v1.0-v5.1... But with the change to a C++ approach, I have added support for it to dynamically check for what it needs to patch. So... in theory, in v5.2? It "should" remain working. I can't guarantee it though. I still plan to update it regularly, but shouldn't "need" to.

Beyond that... there is a minor improvement...

Back in v1.0 of the app, it supported SNES Classic format SFROMs. I brought that support back! Not a huge deal to most... but I decided to put that in the public version since it should help reduce some issues from mistakes people make. If you accidentally make a SNES Classic sfrom for Switch... it will generally work. But its still best to use the Switch format.

In other news... as mentioned... there is another version of the mod. Full Unlock+, for my supporters on Patreon. Full Unlock+ adds the long missing ExHiROM support to canoe, and Soft Patching support. In the future, I hope to add Cheat Code support as well to that. I restructured my Patreon so that DisplayEx+ is available as well!
