IGN gave it 8.5, so I guess it's not that bad...
ARGH! WHO AM I KIDDING? I WANT TO PLAY IT NAO! But then, I'd have to spend all my summer money to buy a PSP and whatever equipment needed, instead of getting a Wii :/ ARGH! Decisions, Decisions!
*goes crazy*

The PSP is a better investment. Wii games pretty much suck.

I play my DS and PSP 100x more than I play my Wii. I even play my PS3 more than my Wii, and I don't even own or rent any PS3 games!!!
What what what? I don't want to derail the topic, but PSP games suck 100 times more than Wii games. I've played at least 10 GREAT titles on my Wii, instead, this is the first PSP game I really like. And I've got my PSP 2 years ago.

I'm playing my Wii more than my 360, lately.

Now, let's get back to Crisis Core

I agree completely.
However I must add. PSP as an entire system SUCKS. The games are short, the only true time spent on the game are for the load times, and Crisis Core is just one good game for the PSP. I admit PSP has a few good games, but the fun is short lived.
A Wii is a much better investment.
I will only take the PSP side under one circumstance. A PSP with Custom Firmware is the best system out there. With custom firmware it has unlimited capabilities. Without it, the PSP is just a paper weight/video player for all you pornographic needs lol.

Exactly. When I've got mine all the PSPs out there were still 1.5 FW...

I've got it in the first place because of the emulators. And I _STILL_ use it mainly for emulating. Good, fun and long games are a rare thing on it, and Crisis Core it's one of them (even if it's a bit short... if you don't play all the optional missions, it's only 6~8 hours long)

can you then explain how i have around least 41 psp games that DON'T suck then? also the psp is good for emus and so on, i've noticed i play a lot less on my Wii than i do on my psp and ps3.

but if he can only chose one or the other i would say go for the Wii, it's a console after all, he can play online with more games and there are the ninty exclusives too, if he could afford both i would say get both lol

QUOTE(Wanted @ Mar 27 2008, 07:30 PM) but I never tried the JAP version so have no real expectation of Seph sounding like he has hypothermia and constipated.

i had to LOL real hard at that XD

A couple questions.

Is JP version save compatible with the US version?
By this I mean if I transfer the content of the JP save folder to the US save folder since they'll probably have different game codes and save folders.

If they're incompatible, is there a translator that can turn JP save into US save?

If the save is compatible I'll probably do a quick playthrough again, but if not I'll be happy with what I got from the JP version.

I just finished the game a few minutes ago and I enjoyed it thoroughly. As an anime watcher, I greatly prefer the sub over dub, but I thought the voice acting for Crisis Core is actually pretty decent. Come on, people. There are games with WAY worse voice acting. I didn't mind the Kingdom Hearts-type of battle system, but the randomness of the DMV for summons and limit breaks took some time to get used to.

Also, I LOVED the ending sequence!

Zack fighting an endless amount of Shinra soldiers. You know he is suppose to die, but you keep on trying to beat it anyways. Must win to see Aerith!

I don't have time to pick up PS2 games, so PSP is a good alternative if you want comparable depth of a console game on a portable. DS doens't offer the same kind of depth as PSP or anywhere close. I have both so I can vouch for my opinions.

These games are always on my memory card and I can't find the will to delete them... Gundam Seed, Guilty Gear, initial D, DJ max, crisis core.

As for DS, there's a BIG library of crappy games and few good ones from Nintendo and the occasional rare one that is good and not under nintendo.

Hate to break it to people but if they were intent on using only one character throughout the game ATB would be the worst thing ever.

I enjoy a good turn based RPG now and again but some people get up in arms whenever Final Fantasy is not turn based.

The game is decent even barring no turn based battles its a bit easy unless you enjoy doing missions then you can find some damn hard ones.

In hard mode Im betting those missions are even more nightmarish.
