Been having a debate with a friend who is a massive Elvis fan, understandly. He was a brilliant singer, vocalist and entertainer. But always thought personally the only two people i can think of more famous than Michael Jackson would be Jesus and the prophet Muhammad. Non music controversies aside, he directly influenced pop music, modern dancing, music video choreography and was an incredible singer. Just curious on what everyone on here thinks on the subject, since ive never really posted a poll on music in gbatemp before and wanted to see what others think. No right or wrong answer btw.

I think The Beatles including producer George Martin may have had the biggest influence on music. They did so many things for the first time. They prbly wouldn't have been the same without Elvis's popularity so maybe that makes him the bigger influence?
Added that one for you there. Never been a big fan of the beatles personally, but i can completely understand your point of view with the influential part that they played so i added them to it for you.
