Yeah but it sucks, you'll have to stay in 480i all the time
That's not a solution
I tried to change the deflicker on my TV in 480i, then I turned my wii to 480p on the TV with the cable
Then I putted that on my monitor but nothing
I assume you have to stay in 480i in order to have 480p in Brawl (this is a known problem)
I prefer the use of the freeloader, 480p is working great.

I have used the patch v1.1 on my ISO. Do I still have to use the proph ssbb inf file on it?

I have 3.1E and a newly installed D2Pro. Can I update to 3.2E via internet connection without a problem?

I did all that is wrote on the first post, plus converting video with Video Mode Changer, and I have a green screen with an error after the first loading of the game. The screen turns white then my Wii makes some strange noise and I got this green screen.

Sorry for bad english.
I have a 3.2 Pal Wii with Wiid v.03

I'm confused
What is so bad about dual channels?
What happens so bad that people are desperate to get rid of them?java script:add_smilie("","smid_")

Here's my feedback :

First post method :

- doesn't work in 60hz, Wii is turned on but it seems there's no signal on the tv
- the game loads in 50hz, I can create de save file, there's a 10sec loading then the screen turns white, Wii makes some strange little noises and an error message (green text) appears

Freeloader method :

- burned Datel Wii Freeloader (pal) on a dvd
- inserted on my Wii and wait for the "blur" effect, gamecube logo appears in the disc channel
- inserted SSBB untouched iso, game is recognize but doesn't load, nothing happens

I'll try to re-update my modchip (WiiD) with the Mario Galaxy fix or use an other media/method.

I'll make you an other feedback today.

Same thing happens to me... Wii PAL 3.1E + D2CKey... burned Verbatim DL, IMGBURN, 2X, ISO with Trucha Signer patch, RegioFrii patched and no layer break (with layer break the ISO isn't even recognized)....

Any good advices?

I reburned the game in 2x.
First time I get the same green error screen in 50Hz.
Then I put my Wii in 60hz, the Game loads and I can hear the music of the opening cinematic, but the screen stays black.
I re-run it in 50hz and it loads great, video perfect.
I turned deflicker off in the game options and reload the game in 60hz.
The TV lost signal a few second then the game loads perfectly.

Finally I'm done !

OK, here's my deal:

I've got 3.2E and 1.9G updates.

So i downloaded WiiZARD's release and patched the iso. with: Super.Smash.Bros.Brawl.WII.NTSC.TO.PAL.UPDATES.REM OVED.PPF.PATCH-iND

Burned on 4x in nero. I put the disc in my wii and the Brawl icon occured and i heared the music. It also required an update so i accepted - everything worked fine. So i pressed "play" and then i fucking got the same error as for Super Mario Galaxy - "Error: #001 unathoized device has been detected".

Does this mean i cant play it on my wii? What have i done wrong? ..the fucking DL disc costed med 8 dollars :S ... and i dont want to failure if im gonna burn it again.

IMGburn stops at 39% with the error:
'Failed to read sector 1644400'
I press try again, same error, I press continue and another error appears;
'Failed to read sector 1644401'
I kept re trying but got nothing to I started clicking continue every time, it got to;
'Failed to read sector 1644424'
Thats when I cancelled.

Any ideas what I've done wrong???

PAL Wii with 3.2E, Wiikey 1.9g.

Did everything in the first post, excluding the #001 video error stuff.

Works flawlessly on 60 Hz, the update DID NOT brick my Wii. =D

Thank you, GBAtemp!

Look in the first post, in which I will quote this from teh great rodak:

rodakAdditional info for some users:

Remove the 001 Error and Change Video Mode:
Do this between step 14 and 15.

1. Go into the second partition PARTITION (RSBE01), extract the main.dol

2. Open main.dol with bailli tool and hit "Remove 001" and hit "NTCS-2-PAL" then hit SAVE. if you do not hit save, it wont fix it.

3. In trucha signer, right click the main.dol that you just extracted, hit replace and replace it with your new modified main.dol

4. Right click the partition in trucha signer and resign the partition

YES! YES! YES!

I finally got it working!!! I used the method here (modified update.ini, removed 001 + video mode changed, regionfrii'd).
I used Aone 8X +R DL disc, burnt at 4X using ImgBurn using the layer break the guide said to use. (My Wii is a D2A i've had since launch with WiiKey 1.9g)

SO HAPPY!!!

I've wasted almost 20quids worth of DL discs so far trying expensive ones out and the ones I used I bought for a fiver off ebay... YAY!!!

edit: the burner i used was a pioneer dvr-112d btw

I'm on a PAL Wii, Firmware 3.2e , Wiikey 1.9G. I managed to burn the game, it started up, it ran the update and... After that everything really fucked up.

First off , on 50HZ mode, the remote input was laggy as hell, and there were odd green flickering bars on top and on bottom of the image( I've seen these before on NTSC games, usually they're not a problem though). Couldn't play anything due to the lagging remote input.

On 60HZ mode, remote input was better, but all the colors on everything were totally fucked up. Red was blue etc. My TV SHOULD recognize NTSC signals fine, so that shouldn't be the problem. I also used the default Wii composite cable and a RGB scart cable to test the fuckup.

I managed to fix the machine by running a Wii System Format that removed the SSBB-update from the memory.

Anyone else have this kind of a problem ? Can I do something about it, WiiBrickBlock away the update or something? I really want to play Brawl, but if its kinda hard when either my remote lags to hell or the colors are all fucked up.

Edit : Ah, after I tried to restart SSBB after the format it worked on 50hz but flickered like hell, if I tried 60hz nothing worked. If I turned off Deflicker, it bugged out like earlier, remote input lags / Colors are fucked.

BUT. I booted the game with the Datel Wiifreeloader, and it works on 60hz mode, and no need to turn off deflicker

Thus - everything is solved! Hooray!

just a quick question - when i did the 001error fix and video patch, i clicked "search" -> Fix then pressed save, then clicked search on video patch section and then clicked NTSC->PAL and then save. is this right? or do i just go Search->fix Search->fix then save? will saving a second time overwrite the first? because i got a 001 error still with my method.

thanks.

EDIT: Gah figured it out. cause i kept doing the Fix 001 thing twice it would fix it, then unfix it... whoops. so everyone make sure you do it just once. lol
