@wiiLotos That's actually kind of weird, since afaik the last time I installed a digital title via NUSspli (keep in mind this was almost a year ago, so idk if anything may have changed), it inherited the previous save data that was originally created via disc.

Just as a rule of thumb though - if you plan on keeping your save(s) in such a way that you can restore / back them up at anytime, then use something like SaveMii.

Just a few questions though - did you do anything before downloading / installing the titles? Where was the title stored on originally? (USB / NAND). Where did you download / install to? (Assuming USB, but just gonna ask anyways). Is there anything you can think of that you might have accidentally done to warrant the deletion? Finally, is it completely gone from the Data Management settings as well?

Because unfortunately if the data is already gone, there's not a lot you can do to get it back unless you backed it up beforehand.

before downloading installing I setup my system with tiramisu and loaded my SD card with a few apps. The games i tried downloading were disc only and never had been installed before (though they were played years ago). I haven't checked data management so i'll take a look. I don't really care about the save data as it was just some incomplete NSMBU and 3D world profiles but i didn't want to lose anything else.

Do you mean you only used them in disc form, or that they were only released via disc? I assume the former as it wouldn't be available on NUSspli had it been a disc only release.

Since you had not checked Data Management before or after the fact - it could also be safe to assume the data had already been deleted before this process took place. For example, it could have been deleted manually some time ago in an effort to free space, or simply because the games weren't seeing active use. I did that occasionally and always forgot I did it after the fact (hence why I always backed up saves as well if I ever wanted to restore them).

I don't really care about the save data as it was just some incomplete NSMBU and 3D world profiles but i didn't want to lose anything else.

You shouldn't lose anything else. If you're worried about the saves for other games, you can test the same thing on another game that is confirmed to have current save data by looking at the Data Management settings, then proceeding to download the digital title. Or you can backup your saves so if something does go wrong, you'd be able to restore them to the digital title. It may be an extra step - but it ensures restorability.

I mean i only used them ever in disc form. I checked in on the data management settings and i do see save data from NSMBU and 3D world from 2016-2017 when i last played them. When i launch the game from the HDD though the save files are not there.

that means they're probably being recognized as different titles. (basically both disc and digital existing at the same time, then save(s) defaulting to the disc version). Easiest way to fix that is to use SaveMii. Backup the save from the disc title, then inject it into the digital.

There's probably a better way to do that, but I don't own a Wii U anymore so I can't really refresh myself on anything.

The saves need to be on the same storage medium as the game. So in case you install to USB you need to move the save to USB, too (with Data Management).

Using SaveMii from @Xpl0itU to take backups beforehand is always a good idea.

Thank you, that makes sense.

SaveMii was hit or miss I would often get a black screen and had to force restart. In the end I manually copied over all save data from NAND to USB via data management (which oddly removed the games I had downloaded with NUSSPLI) and then proceeded to redownload the games I was looking to back up. Using this method the save game files now appear in the games.

Please forgive me but I have a question totally off topic from OP. I noticed that a few games that I was searching for are not available on NUSpli. COD: Ghost, Pokken Tournament, and Mass Effect 3 to be exact. Is it possible that those games will ever be available on NUSpli?

NUSspli only holds titles that are on the NUS (Nintendo Update Servers), so only titles that were eShop releases.

The ones you listed were disc only. We talked about this a little while ago in the thread. NUSspli is a legal gray area since it's using Nintendo's own open servers. If we were to make our own archives and point tools to them to allow any free game download(s), we'd be subject to DMCA's, or worse.

So to answer your question? No. It won't ever be available.

I'm sure it's been asked already but I checked the first post, couldn't find it and I don't have time to read 67 pages: in general, do we have to download the game and then the update from the updates tab? If I only download the game, I'll just have the 1.0 version without any update? I'm not 100% sure since we're downloading directly from Nintendo servers and seems weird that they're giving us the possibility of downloading the outdated 1.0 version of games.

If you download the game without the Update, and you attempt to launch it - at least before the eShop closure, the Wii U itself would also download & install the Update the same as if you got the game legitimately. Having it in NUSspli just gives people the option to download it in tandem, by itself, or if someone modified the game's XML to keep it on a specific version.

I'm not sure if the automatic Update download when launching still applies after closure though, as I've not used the Wii U in over a year. Easiest way to find out is to test it yourself.

I'll test it in a few hours then. TY :)

I would wonder if it wouldn't ask to update given that the updates are still downloadable and (for some games) required for online play.

I assumed it would still apply as an update is just an extension of the game you would have already "purchased", I just wasn't 100% sure- and without a way to prove a claim, I prefer not to say it as if it was definitive.

Is there is anyway to download & install bonus content from uplay using nuspii ?

If the content isn't related to Game / System Titles, Updates, or DLC, then no. Most uPlay content afaik was done either separately in-game, or by using external servers that acted as a medium for unlocking said content.

tl;dr: No.

Hi V10lator! Question on your site:
NUSspli-1.136-Channel.zip is the full program as a channel from the wiiU Menu
NUSspli-1.136-HBL.zip is the program in APPS
Is there a simple "forwarder" that can be installed to launch NUSspli-1.136-HBL in app folder from the Wiiu menu?
Also, since an update to 1.136, I'm having a "very small" issue, it's very slow when clicking on "install" inside the progam, just like if it was taking a lot of time to find the SD card, it takes around 30 seconds for me, whereas it was very quick with my version before (I was around 1.124 before, I'm on latest tiramisu). I will try to check with was version upper 1.124 I don't have the problem.
