So I modded my wii about 11 years ago and have used it a lot then had to pack away for awhile. Finally digging out my old consoles i decided to finally mod my 3DS, PSP1001, and finally my Wii u. All this said to show i can follow instructions mainly XD but when it came to modding my Vwii on WiiU im confused i was following the guide and it says not to use iso's intended for a true wii, and to use roms intended for a vWii. Does it mean to use wbfs? I ripped my wii games years ago but dont know if its safe to use those now? Thnx! And then i guess same for Nintendont, will i need special rips of my GameCube games?
It probably says that you shouldn't install a IOS (not ISO) that is for a Wii you need a vIOS for that.
Background is: the vWii looks like a Wii to the Application running on the PPC. But the IOS, which is running on the ARM needs to deal with the different hardware in the Wii U.
Also I would recommend to use use VC Injects for Wii Games instead of USB loaders on the vWIi side.
They don't require any modding on the vWii side, can be installed to the same HDD as the Wii U stuff and can be launched directly from the Wii U menu

Thanks that's exactly where I was confused lol and also answers something I was wondering about already. I had used Nuspli and seen you could install wii games but I hadn't modded the vWii yet. I will look into how to use Injectors then, as I would prefer to launch everything from the WiiU menu for ease of use. Thanks so much ^-^
