SEGA announces a new 2D classic Sonic game called Sonic Superstars

​


Announced at Summer Games Fest is a brand new Sonic game. SEGA is revisiting the world of classic Sonic for a new 2D game, with retro style gameplay. Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles are all playable, and the game features co-op as well. It's coming out in Fall 2023. Will be on Epic Games Store, Steam, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox.

Wow, looks like the Sonic game we've been waiting for.
been a while since I've been excited for a Sonic game, hope it turns out well.

Hopeful that it's going to be good, but been burned so many times in the past.
Not going to lie though, graphics and the physics really make me think of Sonic 4. Let's hope it plays more like Mania or S3&K

ngl i never liked the 3D classic sonic look. It was aight when sonic generations came out but the 2d classic-style stuff like mania looks wayyyyy better. Nostalgia doesn't sell forever and I'd rather just see them use a newer design, i think the movie sonic looks cute
