Timed exclusive most likely.

So this is the game that'll undo Aerith death? The ultimate fan service 😆

PS5 Exclusive?
Just like OG?

Also, isn't Xbox a tad bit more powerful than PS5?
It seems interesting, I might play this since it looks more like an Action-RPG instead of old JRPG style.
Xbox requires the games to be compatible with both the Series S and the Series X, with the Series S holding back its potential too much for something as grandiose as FF7R.

Yeah, no. They’re more than capable to optimize for the Series S. Don’t give them these poor excuses.

And if they weren't, why not just make it clear "For Use With Series X Only" (not that they'd be able to use on a Series S since it's digital-only).

Just for some comparison. Remake was just under 100GB. On PC anyway. If this requires 2 discs on PS5... Well, may have to buy a new SSD just for it once it hits PC.
I'm so sick of devs not optimizing their games. You just know that so many of these 100GB experiences lately could be at least half their size if they had the development time to properly optimize and compress these games. I know a huge part of the issue here is that they truly don't have the time for that, which obviously speaks to a larger problem in regards to crunch and ensuring a game releases on an arbitrary date set years ahead of time.

Two discs is a crazy amount of data. It's becoming ridiculous that there's not enough storage for a couple of games in a gaming device.
Good riddance to modern gaming.
Major guilty parties are Unity and Unreal Engine, but come on, a software house as big as SE could make an engine that could eat less drive space.

Oh well...

Am I the only one waiting for all 3 parts to come out before touching these?
i stayed up over 48 hours in a row as a child when I rented from a video game store ff7 upon release because we were poor. im super excited they remade these but like u im not touching any of these until the work is complete.

i bought almost all the ff series after 7 upon release date and up to recently alot of games i trusted developers enough to just buy them without looking into reviews because the general bar for gaming back in the day was top notch. i know im not the only one who has been burned in recent times buying a game upon launch only to find out its a massive pile of garbage. no longer do i buy games upon launch and always wait for a review or someone else I know to tell me within the first couple days if the game is good before i spend hard earned money on a game.

If you liked the original like I do then this one will completely disappoint you. Took the story of ff7 rewrote some main parts and slapped it with completely linear game play. Waiting to see if part 2 is open world. It didn't help they ended part 1 where the actual story fickin begins. Make it out of Midgard and whack "wait 3+ fuckin years for the next part.

Only click this spoiler if you played the first part and can explain something for me.

Can someone explain to me how Tifa really died in the first part or if she is going to die in the 2nd game? I mean like is this like a whole new FF7 series rebooted or something and not a real remake? Feel free to post how she died in a spoiler tag if needed as I didn't play the game and while I don't mind being spoiled others may hate to be spoiled.
