Hello!
So I recently got my hands on a v1 unpatched switch, 2018 by chance. Now the sdcard is not being read by the switch; this was mentioned by the previous owner. I thought it only required another sd card reader, a pretty simple fix but turns out it wasn't the case. I tried 3 different sd card readers/boards BUT out of these 3, I think 2 of them were bad from other bad donor switches. Now I don't remember which 2 of the 3 are bad. I tried all 3, with different sd cards but the switch still shows error 2000-2001 code, in settings when trying to format the sd card. It is not reading the sd card at all. SD card reader port on switch looks quite good, no loose cables. I have attached some pictures.

Now I was wondering are there any ic chips on the main board which might have gone bad due to which the sd card reader is not working or should I try to get my hands on a 100% working and tested sd card reader and then try it. Since it is not easily available in my country and I might have to import it from CHINA, I was thinking if there was any other thing I should check first ?

Can the sd card reader be effected by any kind of chip/fuse on board going bad ? For information, the switch was never opened before, was dusty from inside (I did clean the port with a normal brush) and everything else works fine except for the reader.

The SD card datalines connects directly to the Tegra afaik.
You can check whether the board gets power or not.
But it's connected to the same power rail as other components so if that were broken, you would also experience other failures as well.

Without microscope you can't tell wether it's a loose contact or not.
If you boot into Hekate, you can see if the SD card is running in 1-bit mode (an indication that one of the other datalines is not connected).

Another simple trick is to use a multimeter and measure wether the contact points on the connector and the reference points are connected. Note that it might just be a loose contact and if you press too hard with a probe, you might just make contact again.
You could do the same thing with the SD card board attached.
There are some schematics in the forum posts.

@Veho, Sounds and smells like bullshit. They don't give you cancer, and California should know that. I don't get why they stick labels that say "may or may not cause reproductive harm or cancer".
