got a pretty fucked up dat 0 adapter, as you can see, it does not match up at all but my multimeter is giving out the correct readings, do you guys think i can proceed with this one? Or do you think my chances of bricking my console are too high to risk it. (Just tested it with a known good one and it gave me 526, went and tested it with the fucked up misaligned one and it gave me 526 too. Do you think its in the correct place?

I have the same ones... so it could / should work, but i would recommend to cut the dat0 adapter that it fits better.
These 3 anchor adapters are not the best but after cutting they should also work.

Even if it is shorted it will give the right diode value.
If I were you I would not use it but if you have to use it try to modify it as abal1000x did in the other thread

From the things I've been reading about Lites dying...

Please post pics of your install, specifically the ground wire. I have a hunch the usual ground point in the pics floating around is causing this BSOD-Lite issue.

In the future, if you're asking for help on a forum for custom\solder installs, ALWAYS POST PICS.

The community is currently, actively, trying to troubleshoot this exact issue, so there is HOPE. Welcome to the Broken Lite Club though.

I hope that someone can get the cause of the lite dying problem.

But right now, looks like RAM issues.

How can i know if the RAM has the correct voltage?

Hello Everyone,

again a problem with PICOFLY and OLED installation

today i get again the Purple Screen with KERNEL PANIC installing Picofly with 2.74 firmware version..
Mod end fine, led code is correct, console boot in Hekate... but:
- if i enter in EMMC it says Fails to init EMMC
- if you try to start on OFW go in Purple kernel panic
- even if you remove the mod and try to start a clean switch the console go in kernel panic (purple screen)

If anyone got stuck in my situation there is a easy fix :
You just need to install an HWFLY and everything got FIXED without any issue (no kernel panic) and if you start the console after remove the mod it works perfectly

@rehius what can be? how can i help you to fix this issue on Picofly?

problem happen two times to me
one with skhynix EMMC and this time with Samsung EMMC

OLED model
i've Used a normal Picofly chip (RP2040 Zero first time) and now the new Aliexpress RP2040 Picofly

if i can provide any info to investigate the code i'm at your disposal

thanks

Hello Everyone,

again a problem with PICOFLY and OLED installation

today i get again the Purple Screen with KERNEL PANIC installing Picofly with 2.74 firmware version..

I answer you in Italian, I mounted the picofly on different oleds and I have not had abnormal behavior. now hwfly integrates rp2040 so what you wrote makes little sense in my opinion. will i have been lucky? I installed picofly on several lite 0 problems, 0 problems on mariko and at the moment 0 problems on oled...

ti rispondo in italiano, ho montato i picofly su diverse oled e non ho avuto comportamenti anomali. ormai hwfly integra rp2040 quindi ha poco senso quello che hai scritto secondo me. sarò stato fortunato? ho installato picofly su diverse lite 0 problemi, 0 problemi su mariko e al momento 0 problemi su oled...

hello dear

for now I have about 40 installations of Picofly, and 2 have shown this problem
the ones you say are not HWFly (because they don't mount the HW chip) but they are Picofly evolved because the Chinese obviously don't want to be thrown out of the market

if you have the right supplier, however, you can still find HWFly without problems ... the fact remains that the picofly random, brikka your console ... disassembled the RP2040 chip, put an old HWFly everything works

ciao caro :)

out of 40 installations how many oleds did you make? not to mind your business but what proportion are we talking about? 2 out of how many oleds? could it be that the rp was badly flashed? it can happen, I threw away one because it gave the numbers, as happened to me at the time a sx lite that gave the numbers and there I was sorry that I threw away almost €50 at the time

Not always, could be a result of a busted cmd resistor as well.

install an HWFLY chip (the old one without the RP2040 chip) and everything will get fixed ;)

thanks for this clue dude :)

i've tried 3 RP2040 Zero chips, using fresh resitor each time... same result...
i've tried with firmware 2.55 and firmware 2.74 ... same result
i've tried with the new HWFly with RP2040 ... same result

is definitetly NOT an installtion problem -> mod go in hekate perfectly
is definitetly NOT an hardware probem (chip or switch) -> if i use an original HWfly everything works perfect

it's a software bug (i think) related with some specific switch oled model... for this i've ask to @rehius if i can provide any information to investigate further

I haven't actually installed picofly on a Zelda branded OLED. Has anyone successfully installed picofly on that model?

some oleds' silver screws are getting stripped. Seemingly some units have very tight screws. Anybody experience this? how to avoid screws in the metal plate and motherboard getting stripped?
