Hi all,

Looking for some advice on a HWFLY v5 install + reed switch.

The install went well on a Zelda OLED and was successful. However I'm having issues with the HWFLY v5 chip. - It seems to be stuck in training mode. - I power the console on, the chip turns solid yellow, then turns off and sysnand boots. If I hold a magnet next to the reed switch, the HWFLY will then flash purple many times, then green and boot in to hekate every time. - I thought it might have been an issue with the reed switch so I tested a different reed switch and I got the same result. Power console on, solid yellow, then goes off and loads sysnand. Power on with magnet, purples purple, then green and goes in to hekate. - I even removed the reed switch and the hwfly goes solid yellow, off, then boots sysnand. I did reach out to hwfly team and they advised me to flash the hwfly with: hwfly-0.71-p2-sx I did this and the result is the same with reed switch connected. - Power console on, goes yellow, then boots sysnand. - Power console on with magnet, purples purple, then green, then to hekate. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice?

These are all of my values:
3v3- 0.127-0.129
C-0.525
A-0.518
D-0.495
B-0.016

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I actually got a simiçar problem. I updated my SysNand before updating my EmuNand and my Hekate/Atmosphere, and when the switch rebooted the Hwfly stopped working properly. I removed the MicroSD card and updated both Hekate and Atmosphere files, but everytime I start the console now the chip blinks purple and ends up booting straight to SysNand. I actually don't know what to do..

I solved this by installing a NC reed switch on the reset pins. It now blinks purple and boots in to hekate every time. Is it ideal, no. Does it solve the problem, yes.

Did you try just desoldering the reed switch and seeing what happens? It sounds like you've mixed up your NC and NO switches.

Yep. I bought NO and NC, tested both.
I spent much time speaking direct with the HWFLY team etc & if you search on Reddit many people had the issue I have. I upgraded the firmware on the chip as well which didn’t solve the problem. - HWFLY offered after spending so much time, sending multiple pictures + videos they offered to replace it; but wanted me to send the chip back, pay postage etc. then I’d have to wait 2/3 weeks. So using a NC reed triggers the chip to go in to “reset” mode which flashes purple and boots every time. With no reed switch it flashes yellow and boots in to OFW.
