The fact that this game had its details leaked in 2022 because the focus tests and responses from testers were horrible, only for Nintendo to quietly announce the game with one screenshot on its storefront really tells you how much faith they have in this sequel lmfao

No, it isn't April Fools 2018...Nintendo has indeed just announced the official sequel to 1-2-Switch, its multiplayer launch title for the Nintendo Switch. Everybody 1-2-Switch has been fairly quietly revealed, with a release date set for June 30th. The store page for the game says you'll be able to play minigames in teams, using either Joy-Cons or smart devices. It also seems to have a focus on teamwork gameplay.

Why even bother wasting development time and money with this garbage?
Put that team to use making a new traditional Legend of Zelda game, or something! Or, I dunno, porting over Twilight Princess HD, The Wind Waker HD, Yoshi's Woolly World, etc. Something people will actually want to buy and play.

My response to that is meh.

The first game really should have just been bundled with the Switch instead of being a separate purchase.

I feel like they're trying to replicate the success Wii Sports had that everyone wanted to try Wii Sports Resort and the Motion Plus.
