For anyone wondering about erista's capabilities. I'm using 4ifir stage 7+ and it's rock solid.

cpu 2295 for loading ( I use their optimized preset)
gpu 998
ram 2131

It does 1080p 30fps 95% of the time. It drops to 20-25 of there are a lot of effects happenening at once on the screen.

On handheld on an oled switch I clock the memory to 1996mhz (I think it's that). And provide a boost to 768mhz on the GPU and I get zero framedrops anywhere l, even on the difficult spots. I leave the CPU speed at stock.

This is running docked in handheld mode too with reverse nx. So downsampled docked resolution on to the 720p screen. Looks glorious.

The ram modules on the erista are binned at 2400mhz. That's what I recall from the last time I looked it up.
Also 1886mhz on the ram doesn't require raising the voltage. It's just past 2ghz that needs more voltage and it's still within the safe zone (what manufacturer says).

I think overclocking within reason is completely safe and I've never had an issue in any platform.

I've got a v1 and am hoping to take a stab at 1080p without dynamic resolution, is that possible with 1996 RAM and max GPU/CPU? Can someone tell me what files I'll need for RAM OC and resolution cheats?

I havent checked that because my dock died the other day and I don't have use for 1080p anymore.
The last thing I ran at 1080p was static 30fps and it was great. Sometimes it would drop to 20-25. It's worth a try, what do you have to lose? Don't expect smothness though.

If you don't use 4ifir forget about it.

Having put a good amount of time into the game now, 1224/844/1862 docked Erista is right against that power draw line that you don't really want to cross, with a few game situations going slightly over. During these scenarios where you can see the game frequently flipping between 720 and fsr1 1080p, I have checked often and for what it's worth, yet to see my battery gauge go below %99, and it's a very stable 30fps.
This falls in line with MVG's Digital Foundry Erista testing as well. I don't think I'm willing to f' around yet with un'safe' DRAM timings, and it's an old SOC.. so I'm of the mindset this is the best TotK is gonna get for an Erista that I do want a long life for.
Also you guys should check out this mod. It's phenomenal

The mods from ECLIPSE00074 (ecl0674) linked on page 4 looked very good, especially the better texture filtering and increased shadow draw distance, so I had to try them. And well, 4I**R too as the result. Here are my findings.....

Quoting myself to add an update.
4IFIR 1.6 came out and worked magically for me on my Erista, with ST8, RAM at 2133 MHz.
That is, until the most recent update from 19th, the one that named the max CPU and GPU settings "4IFIR Maximized".

Ever since that update, with ST8 I started getting full Atmosphere crashes. With base 4IFIR (not ST8), I get game freezes (better than full Atmosphere crashing at least) and the temps get higher than on all previous setups I used.

Had literally nothing like this before the 19th update, so I can only presume it really, really pushed stuff to the limit for Marikos and now my Erista can't keep up.

Well, new Switch OC Suite came out like minutes ago, so I guess I'll drop the 1.1.0 graphics mod, update the game to 1.1.2, put in the defogger + some ips patches and see what OC Suite can do.

July update:
I was able to get a nice 1.1.2 setup with OC Suite, defogger mod and some IPS patches for better LODs and such, but the 1.1.0 mod is on another level.
So I went back to 1.1.0 (1.1.2 saves work as is) and to 4IFIR 1.6 from June 15th. That's the last version that works on my Erista. Luckily older 4IFIR version are available on the Telegram. Backed up 1.5 etc. too, just in case.

I have an Erista on fw 16.0.3 and I've used latest 4I**R along with the STAGE 7 loader kip (ST.zip).
Playing docked, on a 1080p monitor and also using MClassic.
4I**R comes as a full, pre set-up pack of Atmosphere, Hekate and million homebrew apps, so I tweaked some minor settings to my liking and deleted all other apps other than 4I**R itself and SaltyNX to monitor performance.

For clocks I use:
CPU : 4I**R Optimized (1428 MHz).
GPU : 998 MHz
MEM : 1996 MHz
You need STAGE 7 to have 1996 MEM available on Erista. Without it you'll have 1862 MHz as max.
For me this is perfectly stable, with temps around 60 - 62 °C.

Curiousity got the best of me and I also tried STAGE 7++ that offers 21xx MHz MEM. Don't do this on Erista. The game immediately crashes upon loading a save with it.

Specific mods I tried:
720p_DynResOff_Lite
The idea was to output 720p and have MClassic upscale it. Perhaps it's cause I sit close to the monitor, but it looked way too obviously "upscaled". Especially the text was distracting. (Sitting close, MClassic works for me better with just touching up a 1080p image, not fully upscaling from 720p.)
900p_DynRes
Just right. Looks really great and holds 30 pretty much perfectly.
900p_DynResOff
Too heavy. Ultrahand in Kakariko drops to 20 FPS.
1080p_DynRes
Really, really great looking but too heavy. This time I tested with a grass fire and got drops to 20 FPS.

Both Kakariko Ultrahand and the grass fire were fine with 900p_DynResOff.
So yeah, I'm happy with 900p_DynResOff.
Thanks ECLIPSE00074 (ecl0674), buddy.

Bonus observation:
When C**ler3D was still posting here about 4I**R and its magically increased efficiency leading to lower temps at higher clocks, it was pretty hard to believe.
But Jesus help my soul, it seems true.
With OC Suite I went GPU : 921 MHz, MEM : 1862 MHz and the temps were mostly around 64 - 65 °C.
With
4I**R I'm on a step higher clocks and the temps are at 60 - 62 °C.
It's minor, maybe some quirk of how the temps are reported, but I would lie if I said I didn't notice.

Those mods works on 1.1.2? Do u have the link of them ?

No, they're released as directly modified 1.1.0 game executables.
They're linked on page 4 of this thread, like I say in the post -> "linked on page 4".

Anyway, I'm on 1.1.2 with a Switch OC Suite setup.

How did you get 4IFIR to work?

I'm a newbie but I got switch-oc-suite to work (1100mv cpu limit, 1996mhz ram) on my Erista v1 switch.

Installing 4IFIR 1.6 doesn't let me boot hekate or into emunand, I tried the AIO route and full fresh install route.
