Nintendo issues rebootless update for firmware 16.0.3

dsdadsdsa.png

An incredibly minor update was sent out to Nintendo Switch systems in the form of a rebootless update for firmware 16.0.3. The exciting content within this slight patch is just a simple change to Nintendo's bad words list, including some removals. For players in Japan, "adhd" is no longer marked as a bad word. Atmosphere and all homebrew should continue to function, and the current firmware version number remains unchanged.

So when are you going to present something that contradicts what I said?

Again, ADHD and Asperger's are not "slurs". Start with refuting that and we can work our way into the nuances of how people generally don't want to have mental disorders, and how mental disorders can lead to crime, especially if untreated. We can talk about Japanese pride and how that compounds the issue.

I just showed you the stigma and the association with deviance of ADHD for the public. You know what a slur is, right?
From Merriam-Webster:
slur
noun (1)
a
: an insulting or disparaging remark or innuendo : ASPERSION
b
: a shaming or degrading effect : STAIN, STIGMA

"As ADHD and other hattatsu shogai are increasingly integrated into disability rights discourses in Japan, the association of ADHD with deviance is beginning to fade—but concerns about negative social associations remain relevant."

That sounds about right. Negative social associations with mental disorders is a redundancy found in every culture, and Japan takes a proactive approach in understanding and caring for those with mental disorders.

I mean, have you even read the paper? It's an analysis inserted in a set of 16 countries.

From Merriam-Webster:
Lol. No. Saying someone at fault for having ADHD is a disparaging remark. Thinking about a violent crime when someone mentions ADHD does not make "ADHD" a "slur". People don't go around saying "you have ADHD" to insult people. The word is generally used in the context of concern.

I mean, have you even read the paper? It's an analysis inserted in a set of 16 countries.

Where's the contradiction?

lol, yes, i totally do
I do talk to HIM about sexual stuff. Do I have any sexual attraction toward him? no. Do I feel any sexual excitement when I talk to him about it? Totally not!
But when you talk about your dick, no matter the context, you talk about sexual stuff, because your dick IS sexual stuff

Incredibly lame attempt at moving the goal posts. You know full well what you meant by "sexual", as demonstrated in your previous examples. Not only that, but you're also moving a second set of posts by changing the argument from being about your incorrect use of "literally", to being about what definition of "sexual" you were using. Back to my point, you were wrong. Buh-bye now.

does the say post say they removed Adhd from the list when the source says they added it?

Odd that they'd say ADHD as a slur.. Why use a (current) medical term as a slur?
Idiot, moron, and retard were all medical terms as well. Idiot and moron have become such common pejoratives that hardly anybody knows that they were once clinical terminology. Retard probably would have gone the same route were it not for awareness campaigns to discourage use of the word.
