"Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart", previously a PS5 exclusive, is coming to PC on July 26th, 2023

Ratchet & Clank are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, and with it comes "Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart" as the next title to be part of the (previously) PlayStation exclusive games to be ported to PC, with the title coming on July 27th, 2023, after almost 2 years from the original release back in 2021.

Sony unveiled a new trailer focusing on some of the PC features which will be included in the game, like Ultrawide support (even for cutscenes), NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 2, Intel XeSS, the option to unlock the framerate, raytracing features like reflections and shadows, special feedback when using the PlayStation's DualSense controller, and other features.

Ratchet & Clank will be available on both the Steam and Epic Games storefronts, and it can now be wishlisted and also pre-purchased, and doing so will unlock special items in-game, like the Pixelizer Weapon and the Carbonox Armor set.

Good game, not worth $60 though.

With the state of a lot of pc ports of next gen only titles, I wouldn't pre-order anyway. Safer to wait to see if it's another awful port.

It's Nixxes handling the port. If they can't release a polished, stable port then all hope is lost.

Why this game, and not the far better PS2 games? I wanna be able to purchase and play Going Commando, Up Your Arsenal, and Deadlocked on a modern system without any visual bugs (the PS3 fails those two qualifiers).

Come on, release the PS2 collection on PC already, Sony and Insomniac!

I'm now curious as to whether this will have SSD or high RAM requirements after how much they hyped the SSD storage prior to the games PS5 launch.
This.

Ratchet and Clank was one of the bigger examples of the benefits Sony's proprietary SSD controller provided. I'm wondering if they'll use and require Microsoft's DirectStorage

Did this not sell well for ps5? can't think of any other reason why they'd port fairly new game to pc so fast
The port is coming rather fast. I assume they're trying to crank out those sales numbers. Made 1.1 million sales in the first 17 days. Never got another update on sales.

One of the sites that weren't blocked on the school's network was some file uploading sites. I would upload some games, write down the URL and take it to school one day.

It was easy to bypass some of the restrictions, as one of the admins left a registry key in the administrative shares drive, which allowed me to get around the blocking of some sites.
