As we know, the phat PS3 doesn't have the option to bitstream audio to an amp in the settings, whereas the slim PS3's do. The only option is when playing Blu-rays. So the question is, can that option be added to CFW so when switched on, an amp will decode audio rather than the PS3 decode it?

If I can get my fat to get into the main page (been doing that "system recover" loop where it's been like moving 1% every 30-60min) I'll check my settings.
I have it passing audio via HDMI to my TV, that passes it to an external DAC that displays Dolby Digital being decoded. (By the DAC, not the PS3)
I'm using some probably old version of rebug.

Yeh I can only get it working when watching blu-ray, not when in game. I would have thought that if it works with a blu ray movie on passthrough it shouldn't be an issue working in game on CFW.
