I read through your chat on discord and I would not characterize their use of the words “should be fine” as a raging endorsement for playing an Online game with 60fps enabled. One guy saying he’s been playing for a few months on 2 switches with no ban “so far“ isn‘t a horribly large data pool. Potentially, he could already be flagged for the next ban wave. Even still others in the thread expressed doubts such as “there were some fps cheats posted above for ov2. i know overclocking doesn't get you banned, but ain't sure about cheats”
The same guy you were talking to said “So it’s definitely a risk to go online with cheats but cheating online will only get your acc banned”
At the end of the day, everyone must take full personal responsibility for the risks they take and I wouldn’t recommend any n00bs that come across this thread “try it”. Experts steeped in the scene? Be my guest!
in my opinion, new folks should stick to the basics of 100% clean Sysnand online (no cheats, no piracy, no nothing) and keep all the dirty stuff on a blocked emunand that never goes online. It’s too easy to slip up…even if it’s just an account ban.
I wish you the best in your experiment! please do report back with your results.
